Nagpaalam ako kay Ty na hindi muna uuwi sa condo. Gusto ko kasing makausap sila dad ng masinsinan. I want to ask where they get the thought of me fixing marriage to a stranger. Although yeah my immediate family are close friends with the Devorschwsei but not me. Yes I've been shared some small talks to their family but that was just purely for the business. A chaste civil talks, for me not to look insolent and hostile. Kahit naman sa iba ganoon din ang ginagawa ko. Matapos nga ng party nagpalusot ako na masama ang pakiramdam ko para makauwi na. Balak pa kasi nilang magkaroon ng konting salo-salo sa bahay ng mga Devorschwei.

"Darling?" Tawag sa akin ni dad ng makarating kami sa bahay. I automatically lifted up my face to see them wholly.

"Mom, dad what was that for?" I gave them an inquiry look. Habang sila ay binigyan ako ng kalmadong tingin.

I sighed.

"You know what darling... We didn't plan to enter you through a fixed marriage. Is just that..." Giit ni mom. I couldn't fathomed their reason why I ended up into this situation. I couldn't be ballistic to them since I trust and loved them.

"What mom?" I patiently asked.

I need to understand them. I know and hopefully that they have a reasonable answered. Para luminaw na ang magulo kong utak ngayon. Siguro mas matatanggap ko pa kung iba 'yon pero bakit siya pa talaga?

"Mr. Devorschwei who happened to be a good friend of mine asked me a favor. He told us that he want his son to be married since he's in the legal and right age but then the thing is he can't find one. Hindi naman daw kasi nag uuwi ng babae para ipakilala sa kanila ang anak. Wala rin silang napapag alaman na kasintahan o kahit babaeng kaibigin nito. Since magkaibigan naman daw kami tinanong niya kung pwedeng ikaw na lang. Even we're doubting about his thought eventually we grant his favor because it wouldn't just benefit on their part but also on us." Seryoso usal ni dad.

"Why?" Iyon lamang ang lumabas sa aking bibig.

I was so speechless. I don't know how I will react. Nandito kami ngayon sa sala ng bahay namin. Walang mga katulong dahil hating gabi na rin naman. Marahil ay lahat sila mahimbing ng natutulog. Nakatayo lang kami habang magkaharap sa isa't isa. The distance between us was just five steps away. We cannot even think to sit first because we're too occupied and serious by the current situation.

"Sa totoo lang matagal tagal na rin kasi namin iyong pinag iisipan ng mama mo. Considering we want you to date for you to find a serious relationship. Wala kang boyfriend, wala ka ring pinapakilala sa amin kahit na isang lalaki. Naghihinala na nga kami na baka babae ang gusto mo since you're always with Tyranny." Sambit pa ni dad.
