Chapter 9

Taehyung's POV
My alarm rang and I sleepily slammed it. I groaned and sat up, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I took out my phone and looked at the calendar. My eyes widen at the reminder on my phone, "date with Jungkook" at 4 pm today. I scrambled out of my bed and checked the wall clock which showed 10.15 am.

I ran into the bathroom and took a good 20 minutes shower and dressed myself. I called Jimin and asked him to come over. However, he said his parents came back from a business trip and they had their day planned. I hung up and started panicking. Then the image of my mom came into my head. I walked to her room and knocked. There's was a "come in"  before I entered.

"Good morning, sweetie. What brings you here?" Mom greeted me while folding her clothes.

"Um, good morning to you too, mom" I said, "Can you help me with something?"

"Of course, honey. What is it?" Mom said as she put away the clothes she was folding

I sat on the bed with her and cleared my throat,  "I'm going on a date with Jungkook, over at Jungkook's house"

I looked over to see her reaction, and sighed in relief when I saw a bright smile.

"Oooo! I'm so excited!" Mom squealed like a high school girl squealing over her crush

"Mom!" I whined and she stopped

"Ok sorry, what did you want help with?"

"I don't know what to do. Should I bring him something? And how to greet his mom? I'm clueless"

Mom chuckled before answering, "I can help you with all that" and started teaching me everything I needed to know

Jungkook's POV
My mom woke me up at about 8 am and I stretched my limbs. I just sat, staring at the wall. Soon a smile found its way to my face when I remembered last night's events. I wished the make out session was a bit longer but Taehyung's mom had to cut it short. I laughed at that thought and it died down when I remembered Taehyung is coming over to my house today.

I ran to the bathroom and took a quick shower and dressed up. I rushed to the kitchen and found my mom cooking breakfast.

"Hey, good morning kookie" my mom said as he cracked an egg to the pan

"Hey mom. Taehyung's coming over today"

"Yes, of course I remember that. In a while, I'll go out and get the ingredients for the dishes I'm making tonight" my mom said as she served toasted bread, fried eggs and bacon for me, "While I'm doing that, you clean the house, got it?"

I took the plate and answered, "yes mom"

After breakfast, I started cleaning the house. It wasn't so bad as it was small. I vacuumed every single room and moped the floor right after. I even cleaned all the bathrooms, making them look spotless. By the time I was done, I was sweating like crazy. I sat on the couch, panting and checked the time to see it was 12pm. There's still a lot of time before I have to pick Taehyung up so I decided to go to the mall to get a nice present for him.

I walked aimlessly in the mall, glancing at each shop to see if something would catch my attention. That's when I came across a cute toy shop. I went in and saw all different types of teddy bears. When I was looking for the perfect one, I found a medium-sized, white bunny plushie. I couldn't look away as it was the cutest thing I have ever seen after Taehyung. I bought that plushie without a second thought and didn't even feel bad when half of the money from my wallet was gone.

As I was excitedly walking back, I accidentally bumped into someone. 'I should stop bumping into people in the mall' I thought as I looked up to see who I bumped into. My breath hitched as I saw my ex-girlfriend, Song Yuna, standing before me.

"Oh my god! Jungkook! It's been so long" she said with a bright smile.

I grimaced but covered it up with a fake smile, "Didn't think I would see you here, Yuna"

"It's been 2 years since I have moved to Daegu. I wanted to visit Seoul, you know"

Jungkook frowned, remembering something, "2 years since we have broken up? Wow time flies, doesn't it?"

Yuna's smile turned upside down, "You're still on that? There's no hard feelings, right?"

Jungkook smiled, genuinely this time as he remembered Taehyung, "of course not. I even have a boyfriend now"

"Boyfriend? I thought you were straight?" Her voice filled with disgust

"Does it matter? At least he makes me happy" Jungkook replied, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have my boyfriend waiting for me to go on our date"

Jungkook walked past her, not even turning back to look even once. He hates her for breaking his heart, for moving on so quickly like she had never loved him and for making him feel weak. He has Tae now, he doesn't have to even think about her.
