Chapter 19

Taehyung held Yoongi's hand tighter as they stood by the entrance of the younger's deadbeat dad. They went here because Taehyung needed to ask something of his father, and he was then only family member left that knew anything about this at all.

Taehyung knocked on the door. His soft skin touching the door. They both heard shuffling and then the door opened leaving Tae's father who had bags under his eyes.

"So, you decide to come back with your boyfriend as a bonus?" He asked tilting his head a bit. "I need you to answer a few questions for me." The younger answered while grasping the amulet on hid neck and his father immediately understood.

They both sat down in the broken living room that was still as livable as it can be.

"There's only three questions I'll have you answer." The younger said shuffling in his seat. "Let's find out if I'll answer them." His father said with dark eyes but the younger continued and Yoongi sighed.

"First question, why were you evil in the first place?" Taehyung asked and the father sighed, "Just by one move all of it knocks down."

Yoongi looked confused at his cryptic message and clenched his fists but the soothing feeling of Taehyung's thumb rubbing his hand as they held hands calmed him down.

"Second question, why did you hate Namjoon and I?" Taehyung asked, "You betrayed us by calling the police." Taehyung sighed as this.

"We only did that because all you did was abuse us!" Taehyung stood up from his chair, "Well, never betray your family!" His father scolded him.

"Our family was broken! Mom was never even there and you abused us half the time! How could we not call the police?!" The young water boy yelled and Yoongi grabbed his hand trying to comfort him.

"Why did you ever abuse us?!" Taehyung yelled, "Are you sure you want to use your last question like that? Or is there something else in mind?" The father smirked and the younger was defeated making Yoongi confused.

"Fine then, last question.. why doesn't the amulet work?" the younger asked and Yoongi's eyes widened.

"It doesn't work?" The older yelled and the youngest nodded.

"That's because it's already too late. That's because when you killed your mother and injured me, you already became evil. I don't know why you don't act like it though." The father answered shifting his gaze to Yoongi who stared at Taehyung with worried eyes as he pulled him closer and rubbed hid back.

"Now I know why." The father pointed at Yoongi who looked confused or was about to kill Taehyung's father.

"It's because of him."

"What do you mean it's because of him?" Taehyung asked once again. "He suppresses your evil powers. How sweet." The father said.

"Stop being so cryptic! Tell me specifically what you mean!" Taehyung yelled at his father.

"This will only be temporary though."

"Stop being cryptic!" Taehyung yelled putting his hands on his father's shoulders shaking him.

That's when the body fell to the ground and Taehyung saw his own father's blade in his stomach.

"H-he killed himself so no information would be found.." Taehyung put his hands over his mouth and his eyes started watering making him sob so hard that Yoongi had tears glisten in his eye as he saw his boyfriend break like this. He ran over to him and quickly cuddled him closer.

taehyung sobbed even harder about not only not getting what his father had told him but the fact that his father died and it was his fault once again.
