The automatic doors opened silently and two Astartes walked in. They were on Phalanx, an ancient spacecraft serving as the Fortress-Monastery to the Imperial Fists, once the Seventh Legion, for over ten thousand Terran years.
The door the two battle-brothers just passed through led to the rooms of Librarium. It was something like ancient library, where chapter Librarians stored all the knowledge, history and records of the chapter. The two arrived here to search for one certain person. The master of Librarium himself.
Both of the brothers were just promoted into the 2nd Company. One of them served as chapter's Apothecary, taking care of fellow brothers' health, as well as watching over process of creation of new battle-brothers and securing chapter's geneseed from fallen brothers. The other brother was a Librarian, a psyker, whose task was to secure and maintain history of the chapter. It was his idea to go here, for he wanted a certain information, and the battle-brother who followed him was his friend since their training, so it is no wonder they went together.

"Are you sure he will tell you, brother?" asked the Apothecary.

"I am certain he will, brother," answered the Librarian. "It is his duty to teach us about ancient history, much like your duty is to keep others at good health."

"That is true," said the Apothecary. "But others told me he's starting to lose his sanity. After all, he's been serving the Emperor for..." he cut off, unsure of what to say.

"For over eleven thousand years, brother," helped him the Librarian.

After a swift walk among countless shelves containing even more countless books and files, the two brothers finally arrived to the end of the Librarium. There, on a chair behind a huge table filled with books, inks, maps and much more sat the Master of Librarium. He wore an ancient Mark III. power armor, the oldest power armor still in use, counting as far back as to the date of the Great Crusade. His name was Akrion Mederial. His head was almost bald with nearly no grey hair, however, his short beard compensated it. His face had but several wrinkles, as if he were barely fifty.
He saw them coming towards him and smiled at them.

"Imperator protegit," said the Apothecary in High Gothic.

"Gloria imperator in Terris sancti," Akrion answered.
"What brings you into the halls of Librarium, brothers?"

"We seek an ancient knowledge only you can provide, brother Akrion," the Librarian exclaimed.

"Is that so?" Akrion asked.

"It is indeed," the Librarian nodded.
"For we seek an information no one else wants to give us."

Akrion twisted his eyebrows.
"Tell me then," he said.
"What is it you wish to know?"

The Librarian cleared his throat.
"We've heard that during the War of the Beast some of our brothers has... They have temporarily joined with traitors in battle against Orks."

Akrion slowly nodded.
"That is true. It happened on Dzelenic IV, where the commanders of Black Templars and Iron Warriors united against much greater threat, the Orks."

Two battle-brothers were slightly nervous and eager to know more. They knew that such knowledge might be considered forbidden, but they already heard the rumor and came here. There was no way back.

"Can you tell us more?" the Apothecary broke the silence.

"I can, indeed," Akrion responded.
"I know of rather interesting meeting during the said battle. One battle-brother from Black Templars chapter and one traitor Astartes from Iron Warriors legion were stuck together in a building. An interesting conversation happened during the event, as far as I am informed."

The two brothers started to grow a little impatient.

"Informed? Who informed you about it?" the Apothecary asked again.

"It was the Black Templar himself. His name was Holdac Stormfist and he served as the Sergeant of the Sixth Company," Akrion said.

Master of Librarium took a short break to drink from a cup on his table.

"Now, if you'll stop interrupting me, I shall tell you what happened in the ancient past.
Like I said, it happened on Dzelenic IV..."
