Chapter 2- Study Sparks

Alexa's POV

As the final bell rang I went to meet my friends Britney, Dariana, and Lauryn on the steps as we always do.

"Hey! We haven't talked to you like all day! What's up girl?" Britney said. " Well let's just say I was busy talking to my study date tonight." I said with an excited grin. " OMG WHO IS IT, WHO IS IT!" Dariana literally screeched. " It's Liam!" " Aw you finally got him girl!" Lauryn said with a warm smile. I smiled back thinking 'Yes...yes I did'

Ughh! Not indecisive again! First lipstick now an outfit ?? I guess I'll go with white high-waisted shorts matched with my blue crop top and vans. I can't look TOO done-up.

I walk downstairs to the counter where a sticky note says ' Went to grab some groceries. Text me if you're going out. Xo, Mum' I texted my mother and then walked out the door. Hopefully I can find Liam's house. He said it's just about 5 blocks away and to call him if I'm lost.

After about 10 mins I found his house-number 17.

My hands feel as if I dipped them in hot water !

Just breathe and knock...

"Oh hello!" A nice woman greeted me. "I'm Liam's mom and you can call me Karen" she added with a smile. " Hi! Nice to meet you Karen. I'm Alexa"

" Liam should be upstairs in his room. Last door on the right" " Okay thank you Karen!"

I knocked on Liam's door and I heard a 'One sec!'

A few seconds later Liam opened the door. " Hi Alexa! Come in " His room was near and tidy and smelled like...man. If that's even a smell! " So ready for some fun Math!?" I said sarcastically. " Oh yeahh" he laughed back.

I've been here for about an hour and I'm sick of this Math. I don't care if we have two more problems!

" So I have to be getting home soon and I understand all of it now so how about we get to know each other?"

Liam's POV

" Sure." I said. Gosh she's beautiful and she doesn't even know it. Her long brown hair, her blue-green eyes, her big smile... " Um Liam? Did you hear what I said?" I must've been daydreaming. " Oh uh, no. Sorry I wasn't paying attention haha" " It's alright! I asked what you like to do ? Like sports or hobbies." "Um...well I play soccer. Actually for the school team. And I like to just read and chill really. Not that exciting sorry ." " I play soccer for the girls' team! And I love reading. It's so addicting haha. Who knew we had so much in common?!" I smiled and thought 'yeah...who knew'

Alexa's POV

For the next 20 minutes we talked about sports and books and everything in between. I got a text from my mom saying that dinner's almost ready and to be home in 10 minutes. " I better get home for supper..." " He seemed to frown a bit...then smiled ...? " Hey um...I could walk you home if you'd like? It's a little dark and it's not fun walking alone." He said with a wink. God he's cute. " Haha okay sure! I'll grab my things."

Soon we were at my front steps. Aw poop. I had so much fun with him! " Alexa? Alexa?" Oops!

" Oh sorry Liam! I must've zoned out for a second." He smiled. " That's fine." Then he hugged me and kissed my cheek." See you tomorrow Alexa"
