Elizabeth(y/n): I remember that day at the park like it was yesterday but I haven't seen most of them for four years except for Damien. We all parted to achieve our goals and dreams, William had journeyed through the jungle. Mark is rich and lives in the manor just like he dreamed of and to top it off he married Celine. Damien became the mayor of course and I was overjoyed because he worked so hard. I'm so happy they all accomplished their dreams, even without me...

I work at a library, it has wall to wall bookshelves I could stay there forever. Celine and I would come to this library as kids it was the biggest library the city had. I mailed William as often as I could, I couldn't mail Damien he was to busy maintaining the city. I would visit mark and Celine when I was free and we would catch up. Mark seemed so in love with Celine they were so happy together.

I went to visit Mark it was Sunday nothing was going on so I thought I could pay the happy couple a visit. I had a taxi drive me to his house I haven't seen them in a year so the driver dropped me off at the park.

It was just like I remembered the grass was still green and soft and the bench still looked new. The roses were still red and beautiful and the fountain was shining. I remembered the feel of the gravel below my feet and I took a trip down memory lane.

I finally got to the manor and saw Celine take off into a car and drove away. I looked at the manor and stood at the door and felt something odd. I knocked on the door but no one answered so I tried opening the door and it unlocked "welcome back..." I heard but it was like a whisper.

I walked with caution to the living room I saw mark sitting on the couch starring at the fire.

"Hello Mark sorry coming in without saying anything" his gaze was on me and after getting out of the trance he was in and smiled.

"Hello, Elizabeth how are you? come sit down" Mark said I nodded and plopped myself down next to him.

"I saw Celine leave, did she have something to do? " I asked, "Celine said she was meeting someone important, she didn't specify".

I nodded and stared at the fire "have you talked to our friends lately?" I asked Mark shook his head" I have had some big projects so I have had a tight schedule".

Mark and I chatted for a while and we discussed work. "Do you trust me Elizabeth?" at first I was surprised at the question" of course I do why wouldn't I just my childhood friend".

I wondered why he would question my trust "okay I just was making sure, thank you for your company I haven't talked to the rest of the gang in a while".

I had to leave because I had work tomorrow" goodbye mark good to see you again" I said, "of course you can visit the manor anytime and if you ever need anywhere to stay come here".

I strolled out of the door and saw Celine she passed me without saying anything. I walled to the taxi and took one more glance at the manor one more time and saw Celine and Mark talking. "See you again..." the voice said again "hello ?" no response. When I got home I got mail from William and opened it.

Dear Elizabeth,

I'm back from the safari come visit me if you would like or come to the park so we can have a nice chat just mail me back.

A Month Later...

I did not think the spark would go out for Mark and Celine. I saw Celine and William at the park together, when I saw Mark and Celine in the window it turns out she was leaving Mark. I felt so bad for Mark he stopped mailing me or talking to me for a while. William and Celine are now a couple I'm happy William found love but it shouldn't have been with his childhood friend's wife. I never spoke with Celine and I didn't want to I knew mark loved her very much but she left him. I may say hi when I see her but that's it William and I visited but once we kinda stopped.

Damien did not know I'm surprised his sister would have told him. I hope nothing goes wrong with our friend group they were my only friends I just want them to be happy. I wonder what will happen to this friend's ship...
