After school, Connie walked to her house. She saw Remy in a limo. "Hey bro! Sorry I annoyed you today!" Remy rolled down his window. "What is it THIS time, Connie?" "I don't know, you just happen to be there! And I wanted to ask you something." Remy face-palmed. "What could it POSSIBLY be?"
"Well, I was wondering if you want to hang out."
"Connie, you couldn't be dumber than to ask me that question. I don't 'hang out' with lesser folk, so please just stop bothering me."
"Please?"
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
She used the puppy eyes.
"Ugh. Oh, oh my god the cuteness! It's blinding! Okay! I will 'hang out' with you!"
At Connie's house...
When they walked in, Connie's older sister, Cealia, was near the doorway. "Oh. Well, Connie, I never thought you'd be able to do it. You done snagged one! So, who's your boyfriend? He looks like a snivy." They both blushed. "Umm, he's Remy Buxaplenty. I don't think he even likes me that much. "Huh. OK. Well, I made dinner, Flameface." Cealia handed Connie a plate of curry rice. "Extra spicy, just the way you like it. And P.S., you little snob, you will not criticize our 'inferior' ways, GOT IT?" Everyone sat down at the table. Remy just sat there, looking at all the simple things in the very small house. Everything was not as clean than in the big mansion he was used to.
"Where were you, son?" Remy's dad asked. "I was at a someone's house." His dad looked at him. "Uhh, you mean mansion, right?" Remy looked up at his dad kind of annoyed." No, dad, I mean house. A girl named Connie Katz is trying to force me to be her friend." His dad looked mad at him. "Remy. I am surprised at you. This family does not intermingle with lower folk. You're grounded and forbidden to go to this friend's house ever again."
Remy walked to his room, slumped onto his big bed and cried. "I hate my dad. He never spends time with me, he thinks I'm friends with Connie. She makes me feel sick, every time I look at her. Although the sickness kinda feels good. I don't know why. It was pretty cool the way she defended herself today, and her southern accent does make her sound tougher. Her sister scares me though." He slammed his face on the pillow. "I don't care what my dad says. I can choose my own friends..."
