Dustys PoV
"Wait, so why are we going back to school again..?" Shea asks as they walk beside me into the entrance of the school "So we can train in a perfect atmosphere." I reply casually as I enter the academy building, students hurrying around with their weapons and their bags "I thought Kaya didn't want us here" rowan says as he hurries beside me, shrugging I watch as Ilya cocks his eyebrow "who Exactly is Kaya?" He asks, his blonde hair blowing in the draft coming from the windows, I push my own hair back "Kaya is a student here, she and Dust has had a rivalry for a while" Shea mumbles to Ilya who nods in response as we enter the classroom, Mr Burke stands "Shiró your back." He says, nodding I exhale slightly "Just call me Dusty" I murmur as I make my way to the table at the back, the three demons following casually.
Tapping my pen against the desk as students begin to pour into the classroom, Kaya enters with her friends, her green eyes falling on me as she makes her way to her desk with Magnus, Beth, Felix, Lucas and Kazuki. Looking up when Mr Fernandez walks in with a familiar pink haired female, her grey eyes meeting with my yellow ones, watching Shea turn to me "isn't she that girl from last night?" He asks, staring at her with my jaw parted "Attention Class, today we have a new student, This is Ayla Keis" the headmaster says cheerfully, as the boys of the class stare at her in bliss, I watch as she makes her way up to me "Hello Dustin." She smiles as she sits beside me, I can feel the boys glares on me "why are you here Ayla." I mumble in a low warning tone "what did I say. I'm loyal to you, your excellency." She smirks, sighing I look to Shea, Rowan and Ilya who are staring at me "Fine." I reply.
Watching as the teacher explains strategies for killing demons I tap my pen against the desk, my knee shaking involuntarily, tilting my head to the side as a familiar cry is heard from the courtyard of the school, looking over to the four demons sat on my desk, their faces neutral as they watch as the other students note down what Mr Burke is teaching, turning my head I watch as Kayas table are doing the same, standing abruptly, I clip Nyx to my belt "Mr Shiró where are you going?" Burke asks as he looks to me, looking around I shrug "not here?" I reply before walking towards the source of the cry.
Looking around, a scent catches quickly, and my eyesight slowly moved to a familiar cat looking demon who's trapped under a garbage bin, watching as the demons flood out looking for me with Magnus and Kaya and the others, walking over to Milo I haul the dumpster off of him, picking him up I hold him to my chest "Why didn't you just enlarge yourself?" I ask, watching him wince he curls up in my arm "oh.. your injured." I murmur looking at the huge cut on his side "Who's that?" I hear Ilya and Ayla say, continuing to stroke Milo "That's Dustys Familiar, Milo, he's a demon spirit" Shea replies, turning to face them with a deadpan look "I'm taking the rest of the day off." I say seriously, watching the demons jolt back, their faces dropping "What!?" They all shout in unison, stroking the black demonic cat softly I look down at him "If Milo is hurt, I am hurt." I mumble, walking away casually.
After I had covered up Milo's wound I had sat beside him on the couch in the dorm house that us demons had retaken, looking up when the door unlocks and Mr Fernandez walks in "I heard you were taking the rest of the day off, is something the matter?" He asks as he stands directly in front of me, usually Milo would enlarge to protect me but he winced as he opened his eyes, looking up at the strange headmaster I shrug "Milo is hurt, that means I'm hurt." I reply casually, watching him look at the black familiar sat beside me "You tamed a familiar.. and he's a demonic spirit." He hums in interest, stroking milo's head softly I look up at Fernandez "well, if so, please refrain yourself from going on another one of your rampages like you did last night. I suppose it's a good thing you've got that lovely demonic woman here with you." He hums as he walks out.
Watching the wound on Milo's leg heal faster than any other wound due to me being here, I look up when Magnus and Kaya and their friends walk in "howdy..?" Magnus says as he stares at me, Shea, Rowan and Ilya walk in after them abruptly throwing their bags in the corner as Ayla follows and carefully places hers "Hows the little guy doing?" Shea asks as he pushes his blue hair out of his eyes, Kaya stares at me "Well, despite the fact that he can heal quicker than usual, he hasn't been himself." I mumble, standing upright I sigh "It's a shame, I fancied going hunting tonight." I groan, watching Kaya step in "I'll look after him" she says casually, as Ayla walks next to her "yeah me too, as much as I love being beside you Handsome, I'm not the hunting type" she smirks, rolling my eyes I crouch in front of Milo "Are you alright if I leave you with these two for a while?" I ask, watching him look at the two females then to me "They won't hurt me..?" He asks,
Shaking my head I stroke his chin gently "no, they are my friends, I just have to go hunting with the guys okay? I won't be long" I smile slightly, nuzzling the top of his head gently I stand, going to grab Nyx, Ayla grabs my wrist "My prince. I know it's been a while since I've arrived but I have a gift for you." She says, her eyes closed slightly, turning to face her I cock an eyebrow, my jaw dropping when she reveals the golden handled, huge tooth shaped sword, four holes in the top of it "Is that Talon?!" Rowan shouts as he hurries to my side.
"Godric is as good as dead.."
