some days you will wake up and think the world is perfect. on other days, it will feel like your world is being ripped apart, fibre by fibre. every wall around you will feel like it is being pulled down, one brick at a time. on these days, every blow will hurt. it feel like you've been stabbed in the heart each time you hear something even remotely harsh. your skin will feel ugly. and your lips will feel chapped. and you will feel like you will never be at peace with yourself.
those days are not nice.
those days are terrible.
on these terrible days, you will think you want someone to be there for you, that you want to be loved and cared for. you will be incapable of seeing that you are always loved and cared for. on these days, you will want to get better. but to get better, you must make it better. you must make it better.
on these terrible days, use a face mask. your skin will glow and you will feel beautiful. and better, since feeling beautiful is the first step to getting better. take a bubble bath, and use your favourite bath bomb, the one you save for the best days of the year. shape your nails and braid your hair and wear a flower crown and a flowy dress and don't use any makeup. look like you are a descendent of a greek goddess. believe that you are. cook yourself a meal. experiment in the kitchen and use the exact amount of spices that your heart tells you to. there is a strong possibility that your dish will be catastrophic. in that case, order in pizza. eat some ice cream and watch your favourite movie and cry at it if you feel like. look at your childhood photos and remember how happy you felt every time a picture was clicked. sit by your fireplace with your favourite harry potter book. escape into a magical world of swishes and flicks. call your mother. call your closest friend. go for a walk while looking at the sky scrapers that you live amongst. find a quaint café and order something off the menu that you've never eaten before. promise yourself to make a list of things that worked best today. make sure you remember your list, and do something off it every time you feel terrible. no one can help you more than you. allow you to help yourself.-the secret to turning bad days into nice days. 21//10//2018
