We awkwardly stood up, struggling on doing so, nearly falling over each other. Hands on each other for support, we got back on our feet successfully. Jack cleared his throat, cheeks heating up and looking anywhere except at each other.

"What do we do now?..."

I trailed off awkwardly without any hint of urgency or worry and we just killed a man. We just fucking killed someone! We can't just act like nothing happened! I felt the temperature drop, suddenly feeling faint as I was the one who buried that thing on a human beings neck.

We gotta do something and quick before someone notice.

"... Lets just... Look for Linda."

He answered absent-mindedly. He wasn't even paying attention to me anymore or even bothered to look at me. I think he's distancing himself. Did I did something wrong? Did I said something unecessary? Yeah, I just said that we just killed someone and asked my partner in crime which is him ' what now?'... still, I was the one who stabbed Mr. Shawn. Maybe he's now scared of me but if I didn't did what I did, the two of us could be dead by now as I think.

I feel my toes and fingers get colder as I nervously shuffle on my feel, fumbling anxiously as I stood there staring at Jack's back.

He walked towards the small wooden shed. I followed him close behind. It looked like a normal shed and nothing suspicious except that huge hole just in the middle of the ground.

Wow, whoever dug this hole really haveve done a good job! Just look at the quality and detail... I know it was deep too.

"Linda's not here."

I whispered yell at him. He didn't seem to listen or even register what I have said as he  proceed to approach the horrid hole. He bent down and pick up a piece of cloth just laying on the rim of the huge hole. It was red, wrinkled and dirty. I suspect it was just a rag.

Let me guess, It's Linda's... note the sarcasm.

"This is hers."

Of course it hers! He just mumbled to himself but I managed to made out. I just stood there in silence for a minute waiting for him to say something or do anything but he just stayed like that for the whole time. I wonder what he's thinking.

I was facing his back since I refuse to go on anywhere near that hole or the whole shed for that matter because if you're asking me, yes, it is creepy and who knows if the soil around it fall apart? It was big and I can tell it was hella deep. I nearly jumped from where I was standing when he suddenly sat down on the rim and I immediately knew what he was thinking to do.

"What are you doing?!"

I asked terrified. Seriously? Is he going to jump down there for who knows where it leads to or  how deep would it be!? It will be suicide! Who knows what's waiting for him down there? Maybe a spikey floor or a nest of snakes or crocodiles or or... Fuck! I really wanna smack his head right now! I went in the  shed despite the clenching of my stomach.

"Don't do anything stupid!"

I went to grab his good shoulder to yank him away, he slapped my hands away violently just as quick and stood abruptly. I stepped few steps away after seeing his unhappy face, he is clearly mad. I know, I know hes looking for his girlfriend Linda but this is not right anymore. We just killed someone and now this?! Nothing anywhere near good has happened on just the very firt night of our attempt to search for that damned girl!

"From now on, you're on your own."

He spit venoms with his words as I felt daggers stab on my chest. I don't think he sounded mad or angry, his tone was more of blank, cold and empty more than anything but it didn't make it hurt less. Just by the choice of his words it was clear, he doesn't want anything to do with me or the dead body behind us.

He pushed me out the door and slammed it shut in my face. I was lost...  A minute ago we were just smiling at each other hopeful for any lead to that creature and to Linda's whereabouts... Maybe If I was the one choked choked, maybe I should've been stronger, tried harder then maybe Mr. Shawn would still be alive and I won't be a murderer. I stoped my self on thinking there... It's not me, the problems is not me. Its him! He's back on being an obsessive psychopath just like he really is! I can't believe I just did all of those bullshit just to save his stupid little ass. Just immediately when I turned to walk away, cops pointed their guns at me.

I was at loss of words. No, I was completely lost. How? How did these police cars be in the front lawn of the Shawn's hosehold without me noticing it or even just hear their sirens? Why don't I feel anything? It's like my four senses had failed to properly function. Just then I fell limp on the cold,  damp grass of Mr. Shaws backyard, watching the red and blue lights flash on the walls with me not even feeling anything from the impact of the fall as I saw a black shiny shoes approaches my spot with caution. He poked me with his left foot on the shoulder just then my vision blurred, my eyes shut, then I was out...

Just fucking convenient.

It was dark..
Freezing cold..
I heard shuffling of chains..
Red light illuminates the room..
Certain Gargling is heard
Flesh ripping apart.
I turned my head to find the source, then I saw.
Jack Harrison.

I woke up disoriented with drool running down my chin dripping into the metal table, hands fucking cuffed.

What the actual fuck?!

I jumped, snapping my head up and saw a skinny bald cop sitting on the opposite side of the table, he has a mustache. He looked animated, like a cartoon character and less intimidating.

"Welp, look whos finally awake."

He cheered as he pushed his seat to the table closer. His accent is like a cowboys. I tried to smile but it came out as a grimace.

"Tell me, how are you feeling?"

He asked and pushed a box to me sliding it on the table. Well it's a Donut box. My eyes widened. I snapped my head left and right searching for a clock. Oh my god! What time is it?! He cleared his throat before speaking.

"Its 4 in the morning."

My eyes locked on him still widened. I can tell,  I probably looked like a beady eyed junkie to him right now.

"Here gimme your hands."

I did what I was told. He removed my cuffs and opened the box finally and smiled to me.

"Go on, dig in."

I shoved both of my hands on the magic box and grabbed the chocolate powdered donuts then threw it directly onto my mouth.

"Your father is here waiting but I can't guarantee you coming home with him if you don't answer my questions truthfully and trust me when I say we will know you're lying or not! Got that kiddo?"

He warned me menacingly from the best of his ability to look intimidating.
