leyla waited until everyone had arrived and then got into the back of the line. her hands were shaking like mad and her heart was pounding as the line moved closer and closer to the room the boys were in.

the next thing she knew, it was her turn.

she walked into the room slowly, her eyes immediately meeting luke's, both of them smiling widely. they moved towards each other and soon enough, leyla was held tight in luke's arms, neither of them wanting to let go.

"hey, ley." luke whispered in her ear smiling. she was right, he thought, she was very short. "you were right when you said you were short." leyla moved away from luke and smacked his arm, laughing.

"i can't believe this is happening." she smiled. she looked behind luke and saw the other three staring at the two of them. luke still had one of his arms around leyla as he smiled down at her and turned so the two of them were facing the boys.

"this is leyla." luke smiled at the boys. one by one the boys walked over.

"hey ley!" calum smiled, giving her a hug.

"hey! that is my name for her!" luke pouted and then burst out laughing, leyla watched in awe.

"luke, you can't own a name, that is mine!" leyla teased.

"yeah, luke!" calum laughed. luke shook his head and smiled. ashton and michael also gave her a hug and the five of them left the room and headed to the dressing room, leyla's hand in luke's. luke sat on one of the leather sofas and pulled leyla down with him, putting his arm around her shoulders. "so, leyla, enjoyed the show?"

"it was amazing, you guys are crazy talented!" all four of them smiled wide.

"thanks!" ashton smiled, grabbing 4 beers from the mini fridge. "what do you want to drink?" he asks, as he passes the beers to each of the boys, keeping one for himself.

"uhh, what have you got?" leyla asks.

"actually, ley, i was thinking, me and you should go back to the hotel-" luke stops himself as he sees all the boys smirking and raising their eyebrows at him. "not like that, you dickheads. no, just so we can spend some time together, get to know each other more and stuff? we can hang with them tomorrow."

leyla nodded her head, smiling at luke. the two of them stood, saying bye to the boys and headed down the corridor to the exit, hand in hand, where the car was waiting for them. they both got in and luke kept his hand entangled with leyla's, not wanting to let go for a second.

"i really can't believe you're here, ley!"

"i can't believe it either! think of me, you guys are crazy famous and me, a nothing is hanging out with you."

luke frowned at her statement. "don't you dare say that leyla, you're not a nothing to me. and you won't be to those dickheads in there, they were so excited to meet you as well!" leyla smiled again, still in total shock that she was really here, with the, luke hemmings, who was holding tightly onto her hand.

"thank you, luke." she says quietly, putting her head on luke's shoulder.

leyla never imagined she would be this comfortable around luke, and the rest of the boys for that matter. she is usually a nervous wreck who can barely speak around people.

"ley?" luke questions, breaking leyla from her thoughts. she looked up and met his eyes, mesmerised by the ice blue. "you know how you hate attention and shit, how did you deal in the crowd and stuff?"

"i hate attention and i hate crowds if they're uncontrollable and like mobs? like, when you get mobbed that would scare the shit out of me. but like tonight, it was just me, nobody knew me, and nobody cared so i was fine, i wasn't hassled."

"ah right." luke bit his lip, nervously. he worried about what it was going to be like if the fans found out, which they probably would because he wants to stay in his life whether it was a friend or not (he wanted more but wouldn't dare do anything she didn't want). he knows they get mobbed by fans, he knows if she was in her life she would get way more attention than she can handle. and only now, he was starting to realise how much this could impact her, but it was too late, she was here, she was happy and so was he, and he couldn't bare to change that.
