Undercover

Chapter 2

*6 months later*

It's been 6 months since Isabella joined the team and she still had to remind Bucky that her name was Isabella or Bella she wouldn't answer to anything else. They were about to start a team meeting when she came in with her hair pulled back in a curly red ponytail with her glasses on and she sat down beside Bucky and he said "Morning darlin." 

"I said to stop with fucking pet names." she said 

"Bella." Nat said 

"Someone's not in a good mood did the date not go so well that you rushed out of here for last night." Bucky said

"I didn't have a date last night." she said 

"Bucky stop." Wanda said 

Fury came in and said "Bella I hope you are able to figure out a profile for us. These came in from the police department in Buffalo. These 3 victims were found in the park within the last month. This one here is the most recent one." 

Isabella walked over to the screen and read the police report and then read the autopsy reports as she looked at the pictures on the screen. "Don't hurt yourself Bella." Bucky said 

"I swear god I'm about to punch you Barnes shut up." she said without looking behind her.

Fury said "Let her work." 

"All 3 girls were raped and beaten before their death and then dumped in the park cause no suspect would dress them back. They were all 3 teenagers and cheerleaders and 15.." she said to herself

"So someone is targeting the cheerleading squad" Nat said 

"Freshmen cheerleaders." she said 

"Who would target freshmen cheerleaders.." Hope said

She looked at the autopsy reports and her eyes went wide. "What is it Bella." Steve said 

"Virgins..your suspect is targeting the virgins on the cheer squad." she said 

"Seniors.." Bucky said 

"What?" she said

"We were football players and the girls were cheerleaders we always had one senior that was a what they call cherry poppers they would only date the virgins to pop their cherry." Bucky said 

"Of course you were." she said 

"Um so what are we suppose to do this isn't a undercover op." Hope said 

"No it's not but we aren't just undercover cops so we are going to Buffalo. We leave in 2 hours." Fury said 

They got their gear together and got in the car and Bucky looked at her and said "I take it you weren't the cheerleader judging by your comment." 

"Do I look like the cheerleader type?' she said 

"Actually yes." he said 

"Well I wasn't" she said 

They got to the police station and the team walked in and met with the chief and went over everything in person and she said "I don't think this is a student Bucky they would be sloppy about it all 3 of these victims there is nothing sloppy about them." 

"I'm telling you that it has to be either a senior or a junior." he said 

"Did they have a boyfriend Chief Clark." she said 

"None of the girls had boyfriends according to their parents but I'm a father of a 2 teenage daughters and I know that they don't tell me everything." he said 

Nat came over and said "What are you thinking?' 

"We need to talk to friends and teachers if we want to go with Barnes's theory." she said 

"I'll go with you and give you a break from Barnes." Nat said 

The girls headed to the high school and talked to the teachers and then their friends. The first victim's friend said "Katie didn't have a boyfriend but she did start to talk to one of the senior boys right after he asked her to homecoming she said yes to him and then the dance was the last time I seen her cause that was the night she was killed." 

"So Katie wasn't in a relationship with him he was just a date to the dance." Bella said 

"Yeah..she wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend till she was 16 so she lied to her parents and told them she was going with me." Zoey said 

"Thank you Zoey..one more question..what's his name." Nat said 

"Oliver James." Zoey said 

Nat and Bella bit their lip as Hope and Wanda and Carol came in with the same name just different stories about how he was talking to them asked them to a party or to the movies. They got back to the station and Hope said "We have our suspect's name after talking to their friends they weren't allowed to date so they would lie to their parents about who they were going to see." 

Bella was on the computer with the chief and she printed off a picture and pined it to the corkboard and said "Oliver James 18 a senior basketball player baseball player and football player." 

Bucky smirked and said "I'm waiting for an apology." 

"Oliver never wanted to date these girls. Katie the first victim according to Zoey wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend till she was 16 he asked her to homecoming and she said yes they talked those two weeks then he took her to the dance and then raped her and killed her. Sasha the 2nd victim was asked to the movies by Oliver then did the same thing and of course Ellie was the last one she was asked to the Halloween party and did the same thing. All 3 girls according the autopsy had a date rape drug in their system which means he drugged their drinks. Katie he drugged her drink that he got for her at the dance..Sasha he drugged her drink at the movies and Ellie's drink at the party was drugged. They had no chance of fighting him off." Bella said 

"Let's bring him in." Steve said 

The boys left with some of the police officers and brought in Oliver James and put him in the interrogation room and she had the case file in her hand and she walked in with Nat and he said "Oh two red heads I do love me some red heads." 

"Shut up.." Bella said 

Bucky was standing outside the room and he said "Oh Mr James you have no idea who you are dealing with." 

"Oh so feisty those are my favorite.." he said 

Nat slammed the pictures of the girls and said "What about these cute little red heads."

His eyes went wide and said "I um I" 

"Oh don't get all tongued tied on me now Mr James." Bella said 

"I um " he said

"Why did you hurt these girls Oliver huh? " Bella said 

"I think I need my lawyer." Oliver said 

"Ok." Bella said as she walked out. 

"What have I told you about being a smart ass." Bucky said 

"Shut up Barnes you aren't my boss..I"ll do what I want." she said 

"I've told you to stop it's not a joke this is your job and you can't be a smart ass when you are on a job." he said

"Get off my ass Barnes." she said as she walked outside 

"I'm not on your ass I'm trying make sure you don't fucking get hurt but if you want me to get off your ass then I will. Go ahead and do what you want Ms Jones." he said 

"Fine." she said 

Fury came out side and 'You two get it together." 

Once they closed the case and headed back to the city. She went home and took a hot shower and had a glass of wine while she watched tv and ate Chinese food.
