Undercover

Chapter 8

It was the morning of Bucky's birthday Bella was in sitting in bath tub cause she had been having contractions since 6 that morning and it was now 8. She got up and got dried off and pulled on some clothes and paced their bedroom and Bucky started to stir awake when he didn't feel Bella he sat up and he said "Baby what's wrong..wait your hair is wet baby how long have you been up?'

"Um since 6" she said with a shaky voice

"Baby what's wrong?" he said as he walked over to her. 

"I um I've been having contractions Buck..I took a hot bath thinking that they were the fake ones but they aren't and they are getting closer together." she said 

"Baby why didn't you wake me up?' he said

"Cause you were out late with the guys last night celebrating your birthday I didn't want to wake you up if they were the fake ones." she said 

He kissed her and said "Baby no matter what I'll always get up if you need me too I know I'm a stubborn ass when I'm tired but you are more important than sleep." 

He got dressed and helped her get her shoes on and braided her hair really fast and then grabbed their bags and helped her down the stairs. They got into her car and drove to the hospital and they got her checked in and the doctor came in and said "little girl wants to share her birthday with daddy apparently." 

Bucky smiled and said "I guess so." 

The doctor checked Bella and said "Ok mama you are at a 6 so we will go ahead and get you a epidural and then you can rest and sleep some." 

"Thank you." Bella said

The nurse came in and gave her the epidural and then Bella was able to relax some. Bucky climbed up in the bed and she laid her head on his shoulder and said "I'm right here baby I'm not going anywhere." as he played with her hair and she fell asleep. He sent out a group text to family and friends to tell everyone that she was in labor. Hearing Ellie's heartbeat throughout the room gave him some peace. 

2 hours later the nurse came in and checked Bella and said "She's at a 8" as she whispered. Bella was so numb she didn't even wake up to the nurse checking her. Bucky said "Thank you.." 

"You're welcome I'll be back in about 30 minutes to check her again since she's at an 8." the nurse said

"Thanks." Bucky said 

He whispered in Bella's ear "Baby she's almost here they said you are at an 8." 

"Mmm that's good wake me when its time to push." she said 

He laughed and said "ok." 

About 30 minutes later the nurse came back in and checked her again and said "She's at a 9 and half we need her to wake up." 

"Baby wake up they said it's time to wake up." Bucky said 

"Mmm but I'm so tired." she said 

"I know baby but it's time to push." he said 

The doctor came in and said "Ok let's have us a baby girl." 

They put her into pushing position and showed Bucky how to hold her leg and the doctor told her to push. She pushed 3 times and then she heard little Ellie cry and Bucky got to cut the cord and he said "Oh god she's perfect baby. so tiny and beautiful and perfect." as he kissed her. 

They laid her on Bella's chest and she whispered "Hey baby girl you little daddy's mini me dark hair and blue eyes and sharing his birthday." 

"Tell mama to not be jealous." Bucky said

She got Ellie to latch and Bucky sat beside Bella and played with Ellie's tiny hand and she latched her hand to his finger and Bella said "She knows it's you." 

After she fed her the nurse came in and took Ellie to get her cleaned up and dressed and measured. When they came in the nurse said "6lbs 8oz and 19 inches long for little miss Ellie Grace Barnes." The nurse placed in Bella's arms and left and Bella said "Ok daddy here you go." 

Bucky came over and took Ellie and he said "Hey my little doll" and she opened her eyes and she made little noises and he smiled and said "You know who I am don't you babydoll." and she grabbed his finger. He sat there with her and talked to her and rocked her till she fell back asleep. He looked over at Bella and said "Two more right." 

"Yeah two more then we are done..why?' she said 

"Cause right now baby I don't mind at all if we end up with all girls like your mom." he said 

She smiled and said "Don't wish that baby I want us to have a boy." 

"I do want a boy baby but she's perfect and if she had two more sisters just like her then I would be fine with that. Even if one of them is a red head." he said with a smile.

A few days later they got to go home. Bucky carried in her car seat and he said "Alright babydolls we are home." 

They went up to her nursery and got her changed and they laid down with her in between them in their bed and he put the bassinet on his side of the bed. He watched her sleep and he said "baby after she turns 1 I want to try for another one." 

"Seriously?' Bella said 

"Yes I do." he said as he kissed Bella then kissed Ellie's forehead and said "now I'm tired let's take a nap before you have to fed again."

"Sounds like a good plan to me." she said 

They both got comfortable and fell asleep. Ellie was up about 2 hours later wiggling and making cooing noises that woke up Bucky and he whispered "hey there princess..shh mama is asleep." as he got up and picked her up and found the lunch box that the hospital gave them He remembered the Bella pumped a bunch while she was at the hospital and had put the milk in bottles that they put in the lunch box for her. He warmed up one of the bottles and sat down on the couch with Ellie and said "There we go baby we will let mama sleep some more." as he started to feed her bottle to her. 

About an hour later Bella woke up and went downstairs to find Bucky sleeping on the couch with a sleeping Ellie on his chest as he had one hand on her back. Bella found her phone and took a picture of the sweet moment and made it her lockscreen. Then whispered in Bucky's ear "I never thought I could fall in love with you even more till right now." 

He woke up and pushed some of her hair back and said "My gorgeous doll baby I fell even more in love with you the day I watched you give birth to our daughter." 

She smiled and he said "you are amazing baby. An amazing FBI agent an amazing wife and amazing mom. I'm sorry that I ever doubted you before we were together." 

She smiled and wiped tears and said "You are pretty amazing too. And I'm sorry that I was so bitchy before." 

She kissed him and said "I'm going to go order us some food I'm hungry." 

"Ok nothing spicy for you missy.' he said 

She got up out of the floor and went to order food from the Chinese place down the road. Then fed Ellie while they waited.
