"Local teen found in her home, hanging from a ceiling fan. Friends and family are reaching out for anyone who may have any idea to this mysterious cause of her sudden want of death."

This was the talk of Westbrooke currently. Everyone wondering how they could have missed the signs of her depression. I wasn't friends with Sophia, but she was a very soft-spoken, nice girl from what I have gathered from the few encounters I had with her.

My phone keeps vibrating in my pocket like it has all day asking if I knew anything about it.

Beep. Beep.

I pull out my phone, expecting to see yet another text asking about Sophia. Instead, I receive a semi-creepy text from an unknown number.

Welcome to the game, Sarah.

"What kind of sick joke is this?"

"What's going on sweetheart?" My dad asked as he walked in the living room with a basket of laundry. My mom had died when I was younger from neuroblastoma. It was a rare case, considering that only ten percent of adults can get it. It's been Dad and me ever since.

"I don't know someone is being weird, saying I am now in a game."

"Ask who it is." My dad says as he walks toward, what I am assuming is, his room to put his clothes away.

Who is this?

We're the ones that will save Westbrooke from sinners.

What kind of sick joke is this?

Good luck, Sarah. You'll be needing it.

Short chapter I know. This is an introduction to Sarah, her dad, and the creepy texts.

Sophia will be getting a whole chapter explaining who she is, before she died, of course.

This has nothing to do with Riverdale, or the Black Hood, as much as it may seem now. There is a completely different plot, and storyline in general. Hope you are enjoying.
