One frigid evening, a fourteen-year-old muggle girl named Myrna Warren comes across a late Christmas gift sitting on her porch. It was a small black box with an elegantly wrapped silver and green silk bow. The beige tag had her name perfectly scrawled out across the small bit of parchment. Carefully picking up the gift she heads off to her room. Opening the gift she swiftly removed the ribbon and the lid of the box; revealing a black leather-bound notebook with gold accents. Inscribed on the back was 'Tom Marvolo Riddle'.

Tom Riddle, a name that was oddly familiar to her from her grandfather's stories. Myrna's grandfather had an older sister who he claimed was a witch. Her name was Myrtle Elizabeth Warren, she was thirteen when she died of some horrid creature at the magical school she had attended. The culprit behind her great aunt's death was caught by Tom Riddle, a remarkable wizard, and student. Myrna thought it was just a crazy story made by a delusional old man. Her father always told her that her grandfather and great grandparents were driven mad after the death of Myrtle Warren, making up stories about witches, a magical school, and Tom Riddle.

Flipping through the aged pages, Myrna found nothing written in it. A bit confused, Myrna grabbed a pen from her desk and began to write in the journal.

"My name is Myrna Warren." She wrote. As if by magic, her writing had disappeared.

"Hello Myrna, my name is Tom Riddle." Bewildered, Myrna nearly threw the journal out of fear.

"Could it be true? All of grandfather's stories about his sister and the magical school?" Myrna thought to herself before gathering some courage and continued to write in the journal.

As months went on, Myrna had found someone or rather something to confide in. Myrna was a quiet girl, she didn't have many friends at school. The poor girl was frequently teased about her elongated nose, wide forehead, and massive glasses. She frequently wrote to Tom when she had something to get off her chest and talk about her day, along with questions about the magical world he comes from. The lone girl was full of raw emotion and tears. She began to wish she was like her great aunt, Myrna wished to be apart of the magical world Tom told her about. She thought that maybe if she was magical, she could change the way she looks and maybe people would stop bullying her. Every time she wrote she felt better about herself due to Tom's kind and encouraging words, but at the same time, she felt weaker. She asked Tom about her sudden lack of strength and energy; to which he merely responded she may just be tired from the day's festivities.
