-------------------------------------
Naima was like swallowing hot lava into her throat right now while inserting food. What her father said she no longer wanted to hear. Nobody had care about her feelings.
"Whether you like it or not, Zaid is your husband. Your task is to be with him so that he changes and knows who his God is." His father's words no longer moved her.
Naima's heart felt locked now. Remembering a memory of the past. Naima kept her true love story a secret. She secretly liked and was attracted to Ahmed, her senior at the University. Ahmed was a bright young man who always had active in various campus and religious activities. He was the ideal husband figure for Naima. Naima was never very materialistic.
"Naima, go back to your father-in-law's family. He must be worried. You've been here all day." Her mother reminded her again. Naima locked herself in her old bedroom.
"Go home, my dear."
"Mom, he's not human. Zaid is a monster. He won't pray, Mom. He's not a muslim anymore." Naima said as she looked devastated.
Her mom once again tried to change her opinion about her husband. "He still does not know about Islam yet. Yes he was born Muslim, but it is your turn to make him understand of his religion. I have no power to help you, sorry..."
"Mom. You know what? He slept with his ex girlfriend and now... You ask me to help him find guidance? How am I suppose to do that?" Naima told everything to her now. Nothing more to hide.
Her mother could not think anymore. What a burden that must be born by Naima.
"Naima, this is a real jihad for you, my daughter." Her mother hugged her tightly. "You know your father is weak now. I am afraid he will...collapse anytime soon if you do not continue to be Abdullah's daughter in law... Please understand us!"
"Mom, I can't believe it. How come you said that so easily?" She was stunned.
"Okay, I think it's time to go home. Your driver at the door now." Her mom informed and she helped her out of the bedroom.
Having no other choice, Naima obeyed and said goodbye to her parents. She had to go back to a house she didn't want to be in.

She was completely helpless now. Even her parents couldn't help her get out of this marriage. Should she approach Zaid and offer him the idea of divorce? After all, Zaid also had a girl he loved. This would definitely became a win-win solution.
"Zaid..." Naima called her husband when she arrived at her room.
"Zaid, I want us to divorce." Naima said it to Zaid who was busy playing video games.
Zaid's hand dropped his video game stick. "Didn't I hear you wrong?"
He did not believe what Naima said. That was too good to be true.
"Isn't this what you've been asking for all this time?"
Upon hearing Naima's question, Zaid nodded. But something's off. He doesn't know what it is now.
"Are you drunk, Naima?"
"No. I am not drunk. I am sober enough to understand what I am saying." Naima stated.
"Then why do you ask for a divorce?"
"I think it's better that we divorce. We're not compatible anymore." Naima was at a loss for words.
"Don't be stupid. If you ask me to divorce you, it's the same as asking me to kill myself with you."
"What do you mean, Zaid?"
"My father will not give me a single penny of inheritance if I divorce you." He informed her. He got so frustrated by that idea too.
"What?" The surprise was not over for Naima. "But why?"
"If you ever ask me for a divorce, I can do that. But you have to provide for me and make sure I can live a happy life without working until I die." Zaid thrown his video game stick and stormed out the room angrily.
