Ori limped along the snow crunching under paw. She had been abandoned when she was a pup because she was the runt of her litter. She was a gray wolf with ice blue eyes. Now she was a yearling and teaching herself how to hunt.
Ori crawled through the cold snow while lifting her head and opening her mouth to take in the scent of the elk. Luckily she was downwind from them so they would not scent her.
Then from out of no where a butterfly with ice blue colored wings
flew around Ori's head and landed on her nose. She tried to shake it off but the butterfly would not move. "Follow me", she herd a voice inside her head say. Suddenly the butterfly took off toward the tree line. Ori ran after the butterfly into the bare forest the trees had lost all their leaves and now were covered in a white blanket of snow. The gray wolf was running so fast that the snow-covered forest was nothing more than a blur. When the blue-eyed wolf finally come to a stop when she realized that the butterfly had led her to the remains of a freshly killed carcass. She hungrily ripped into the meat. She had not eaten in days and just now realized hungry she was. When she was done with her meal the carcass was nothing but bones and hide.
"Whenever you need me I will be with you", Ori's head shot up but the butterfly was nowhere to be seen.
