Nine // "You don't know what love is"

Jughead's POV:
Me and Betty have been dating for over a week now. We have been fully public and everyone accepts us.

I love my life. I mean, all I need is Betty in my life. She's like my oxygen. Without her, I'll die. She's the love of my life. The thought of a future with her melts my heart.

"Hey gorgeous" I say and peck her cheek. She was sitting on a table in the centre of the canteen with Veronica and Archie.

"Hey babe" She replies and gestures for me to sit next to her.

"Ew" We hear Archie say and all of us burst into laughter.

"Oh shut up Archiekins, you don't know what love is" Veronica stands up for us, in a jokingly way.

We laughed and talked all lunch. Nothing went wrong, everything was perfect. Maybe too perfect?

School finally ended and I saw Betty waiting for me by my motorcycle. She accepts me as a Serpent. I'm so lucky that I get to have her. She's such a supporting and lovely girlfriend.

"Hey baby" I peck her on the lips.

"Hey, where shall we go today?" She asks.
We think for a moment in a comfortable silence until I break it.

"Well there is a party at the Whyte Wyrm later if you want to go. Well, you don't ha-" I suggest but she interrupted.

"Of course!" She squeals.

"Well drop me off my house, I need to get ready!" She says.

"Betts... it's in like three hours" I chuckle. Why does it take ages for girls to get ready and only minutes for guys?

"Jughead! A girl has to take her time to look pretty" She tells me.

"But your already beautiful" I remind her. She really is. Even when she's eating, sleeping, tired, sad. All the time!

"Oh Jug, you're such a flirt!" She giggles, playfully slapping my chest.

"Just drop me home" She demands.

I nod and we get on my motorbike. We drive to her house and she gets off. She gives me a peck on the lips and then leaves.

What should I wear tonight? I need to impress my girl.
