Just friends

Here's a new story for you guys. Also, the Lego Ninjago Movie isn't my favorite thing LEGO Ninjago, but I just thought this might be a nice fanfic to write.

Also, sorry for the short chapter, but I couldn't think of anything to make it longer. Enjoy and please comment. 😉

The Secret Ninja Force was training at there base. They were training in hand to hand combat. It was Zane against Kai, Cole against Lloyd, and Nya against Jay. They were working very hard, but still lacked the ability to do Spinjitzu. Nevertheless Wu was proud of his pupils for training so hard.

Everyone was almost done with training. Zane managed to beat Kai, Lloyd beat Cole, and Nya beat Jay. It was already past five o'clock on Friday and the ninja were excited for the weekend, that was unless Garmadon attacked.

"Great job today students, but next time, remember to trade partners. You will not always face the same enemies." Wu said as he walked to the bounty.

The ninja all smiled at each other. They were finally coming together as a team.

"So, who wants to go to karaoke night next Friday?" Kai asked as they all gathered around.

"That sounds fun." Nya said.

"I guess it would be better that just sitting at home with mom." Lloyd said with a smile.

"I agree with Lloyd." Zane said.

"As long as I get to sing Taylor Swift." Cole said. Everyone was looking at him strangely now. "What, she has catchy music."

"Sure." Jay said.

Everyone cheered for karaoke and Lloyd, Zane, Cole, and Kai all left for the weekend, leaving Jay and Nya to work on their mech.

Jay looked at Nya from across the room. He was finally going to ask her to go on a date, but was extremely nervous.

'Don't be nervous.' He thought to himself. 'She's only a girl, and she's your friend. What could happen. Except her breaking your heart and never wanting to be your friend again.'

As he walked over to Nya, he thought of different ways to start the conversation. But, he decided to go with either talking about karaoke or asking for a wrench.

"Hey Nya, do you have a wrench I could use?" He asked, while smiling at the female ninja.

"Yay, it's right here in my toolbox." Nya said and started digging around in it.

'Alright,' Jay thought to himself, 'ask her about the karaoke.'

"So karaoke next week sounds exciting, right?" He asked Nya.

"Yay, but I'm not really that good." Nya said, still looking though her toolbox. "Still, it fun to go with all of my friends."

'Now,' Jay thought to himself. 'Ask her anything about karaoke now.'

Just as Jay was about to open his mouth, Nya started talking again.

"And the best thing about going with friends, is that they don't try to force you to do songs with them. You know, like couples do." She said.

Jay was now at a loss for words. He didn't want to ask her now, since she just told him she hated the idea of a karaoke date. Then, Nya started talking again.

"And the best thing about going with you guys, is that we're all just friends hanging out. Nothing romantic happened, but just a causal hangout. With my just friends." Nya finish, finally handing Jay the wrench he said he need.

"Well, I'd better get home before it gets to late. Bye Jay." She said as she left.

"Okay, bye." Jay called out to her.

When Nya was finally out of sight, Jay sat by himself by his mech. He felt like his heart had broken into a million pieces and throw out an open window.

Not feeling like fixing his mech now, he gathered his things and went home, hoping a nice long weekend would cheer him up.
