Luke's POV

I watched from afar as she happily danced on the dance floor at the club with her friends. A few times I caught myself staring at her and I think Michael started to notice me staring at her too.

"Are you waiting for me to dare you to go up to her and get her number?" Michael said, grinning.

He caught Calum and Ashton's attention who both stared at me and then glanced at Ella who was still dancing with her friends. I scratched my head lightly then looked at the floor while their gaze was fixed tightly on me.

I sighed then said, "Fine! Fine."

"I'm going to regret this later." I added.

I walked lazily towards the dance floor, but as I got nearer to Ella I started getting sweaty and nervous again. I don't know if it were because of the drinks I've been drinking all night but it seemed like every time I walked towards her I had butterflies in my stomach.

She then caught a glance of me and gave me a smile that just melted me. I flashed her a smile too and started picking up my pace towards her. Once I was just behind her I poked her back and she hurriedly turned around to face me.

"Luke,"

"Ella,"

"Why aren't you dancing?!" she shouted over the loud music.

"I can't dance." I said, scratching my head. Why is it that I always embarrass myself whenever I'm around her? I suck.

She stopped dancing and focused all her attention towards me. "Then what did you come to me for?" she asked.

"I was wondering if I could somehow get your number?" I hesitantly asked.

"Is this some sort of dare aga-"

I cut her off, saying, "Nope. I just would really be happy if I had a beautiful girl's number saved on my phone,"

Ella's POV

My cheeks turned red, and I hope the flashing strobe lights covered them from Luke's view. If anything, I don't want him to get the wrong impression.

"If I were to say it I think you're flirting with me." I said, teasing him.

"I'm bad at it, ain't I?"

I couldn't help but smile because I found him so adorable. "You're not that bad. What do you say we get a couple of drinks and I'll teach you how to flirt?" I suggested.

He nodded his head and then followed me towards the bar. We sat down on one couch as the rave continued not far from us.

"First you buy her drinks," I said, hoping he would get the message.

Thankfully, he called a waitress and ordered two glasses of alcohol.

"Then you get to know her better," I said.

For the rest of the night we talked and talked, asking each other questions about our favorite color, songs, bands, our hobbies, and that sort of thing while occasionally sipping on our drinks that we managed to finish.

Luckily, we were able to stay sober.

It was about 1am that time which is way past the curfew my dad gave me, so I gathered my friends and we headed home. Although we already headed home and Luke and his friends still stayed, we managed to exchange phone numbers just before we left.

Heading home, all I could think about was the comfort of being on my bed because the alcohol had started taking its toll on me and exhaustion had settled in.

"That boy you were with," my friend, Carly, who was the only one other than me who awake because she was driving- said. "he's cute."

I silently smiled to myself while I thought about him and how his cheesy pick-up lane managed to get me to drink with him.

"Don't deny it," Carly continued. "Even though I'm driving and I can't look at you right now, I can feel you smiling to yourself while you're thinking about him."

I simply replied, "Maybe,"
