Saint Aristarchus of Thessalonica

Aristarchus was born 1st century AD during the Roman Empire. Along with Gaius, Aristarchus were baptized by Paul the Apostle and become Christians. After that, Aristarchus become Paul's apostle and accompanied him in his journey. 

One day, Aristarchus taught to the people of Ephesus that the goddess, Diana, isn't a goddess. In anger, the mob seized him and taken to the theater. According to the Book of Acts, it wasn't stated how he was released.

Later, Aristarchus returned with Paul from Greece to Asia (Acts 20:4). At Caesarea, he embarked with Paul on a ship of Edremit bound for Myra and Lycia (Acts 27:2). According to the Book of Acts, it wasn't recorded or stated whether Aristarchus traveled with Paul to Rome.

Aristarchus was venerated in Roman and Eastern Catholic Church, and Eastern Orthodox Church. Saint Aristarchus is identified as one of the Seventy Apostles and Bishop of Apamea. He is commerated as a saint and martyr on January 4, April 14, and September 27.
