A SHAKY SIGH WAS THE FIRST THING TO KISS JANG RYEON'S EARS.

The boy before her seemed pained, as he wearily pulled his fatigued body into a sitting position; his back now leaning against the wall of the alleyway.

"I've already told someone about it..." He paused, seeming to struggle with anything longer than a few words. "It'd be better for you to leave," Again, another hesitation, before he continued on once more, " b-before somebody else sees."

Jang Ryeon wasn't a pussy. So, she sure as hell wasn't going to abandon this fragile teen, when he clearly needed help.

She simply shook her head at his words, before uttering a smooth 'no' into his direction.

Admittedly, Ryeon was always prepared for situations like this. Or, well, situations in which she'd be the hurt one, rather than someone else.

She quickly pulled a small box out from the pocket of her jacket, a white addition sign was embedded upon the front of the red box.

As Jang Ryeon got to work, organising the plasters and wipes that she would be using on the boy, he sent awkward glances her way.

To say that Na Jaemin was confused, would be an understatement.
He was utterly perplexed.

Why would someone willingly put their own life at risk to help him, a member of a gang, out?

It was just odd. Especially when he knew that she was aware of how it could affect her, too.

He was broken from his train of thought when a stinging sensation rubbed at his facial cuts. The boy gritted his teeth, his eyes hardening as they watched the girl's hand delicately working across his face.

Na Jaemin was, of course, appreciative of her kindness towards him. He just worried that her head would now become a target as well.

Her head, as well as the heads' of her family members.

"I'm sorry." He muttered, now tossing his gaze towards the ground in front of his feet. "I'm sorry -- sorry for what's going to come."

--

RYEON HEAVED A HEAVY GROAN as her hand dropped down to her side. Her arm ached a little from being elevated for so long, but she knew that it was worth it in the end.

Honestly, now that she stood back, and admired her hard work on the boy and his injuries, she realised just how charming he was.

He had thick rows of lashes, with golden, slightly dulled irises. His hair seemed like it would feel soft to the touch, but she didn't dare to caress it. His jawline was sharp, and honestly, he was a very pretty boy in her opinion, despite the battering that had been dealt to him.

"I'm Jang Ryeon." She spoke, confidence dripping from her words, with a feminine softness carved into her tone. "What's your name?"

She could tell that he wasn't entirely willing to share his name with the girl, but with a deep exhale of air, he mumbled the name 'Jaemin' out.

The dark-haired girl smiled, words about to leap from the tip of her tongue. However, they were stopped by the screeching of tires nearby, then the loud slam of a car door.

A lanky boy raced into the alley, a mixture of irritation and worry laced into his expression.

"Jaem -- " He started, before a shocked gasp jumped out from his lips.

" You got an innocent civilian involved now? Jesus fucking christ, Jaemin. I thought you knew better. " The tree-like boy scoffed, pointing a disapproving glare into the direction of the pretty boy.

Ryeon was convinced that this was the person that Jaemin must've contacted before she'd helped him out. She didn't want to admit it, but he took a damn long time to arrive.

She decided to stand back, not out of intimidation of the large boy, but out of her curiosity towards what he would do.

She was, however, disappointed. As tree boy simply strode in, and grabbed Jaemin by the ears.
"Johnny! Stop! That hurts."

The taller of the two visibly winced at the other's stupidity. Yeah, great job trying to stay anonymous, Johnny. He inwardly said to himself, sighing at Jaemin's naivety.

"See you later, girly. Try to stay out of trouble." The lanky male huffed out, as he began to drag Jaemin back towards his car.

Ryeon stood, puzzlement embedding itself onto her features as the duo disappeared from the alleyway quickly. She was beyond surprised at how fast 'Johnny' had taken control over the situation, but she believed that it was out of care and concern.

Reaching a hand up to grasp at the male of her neck, Jang Ryeon took one final look around the damp alley, before she decided to head back home.

--

ON HER JOURNEY BACK, Ryeon couldn't help but feel burdened. A burning sensation had been tearing at her back for most of her trip home, and she felt uneasy to say the least.

JANG RYEON DID NOT FEEL SAFE.
