SOMETIMES RYEON WONDERED IF A GOD DID EXIST. Would they fuck her life up even more? Or would they save her from the misery? She was always curious as to how it would play out, if it would play out at all.

But, sadly, there wasn't a God to save her. But that wasn't what scared her most. What scared her most was how oddly calm Yuta was as he walked out of his bedroom, any hints of anger seemingly hidden underneath a blanket of serenity. Ryeon knew how vicious her brother was, how his personality flipped almost instantaneously, but this? Being so goddamn collected and tranquil? It was fucking odd, and Ryeon decided that she didn't like it. Not one bit.

She rose a brow, but knew to keep quiet. Her brother strode towards Jaemin, his phone clasped in his hand like it meant the world to him. He craned his neck over to whisper something into the delicate boy's ear, leaving a shocked expression upon his lips. Moths --butterflies were too peaceful to be described as what was going on inside of her-- mobbed her stomach, and she could've sworn a few muffled gurgles were about to escape from her throat. Jaemin looked uneasy after hearing Yuta's words, his eyes fluttering to the brunette girl then to the cream carpet below.

Pale, silver light broke through the thin white curtains that outlined the windows, leaving ghost-like beams that left dainty patterns across the floors. The light was weak and the shadows were quick to swallow it, but Ryeon couldn't help but feel the need to reach her fingers out to grasp at the vulnerable moonlight that illuminated the dark hallway. Her anxious thoughts tackled her logical ones, her brain was a mess, yet she ignored it all and indulged in the fragile luminescence if only for a split second.

"Ryeon." Yuta's cold, stern voice broke her out from her shallow reverie and the girl simply looked up, tucking her fingers behind her back as if she hadn't been caught spacing out. "We have to leave.." To the point as always, she thought, a little annoyed at his lack of further explanation. Donghyuck and Jaemin fidgeted awkwardly behind him as she simply sucked a breath in through her lips and blinked in confusion.
"Why? Where are we going?" She questioned. She wasn't going to leave without knowing what was going on, and if she would even be back.

"The NCT. We'll be back, don't worry. I-- We all think that you deserve a better explanation, and a better grasp of what you've gotten yourself into." The girl looked to her brother once more, at first she had been threatened by his reaction, but now she could see the worry laced within his multifaceted irises. He was concerned. Concerned for her.

What the hell had she gotten herself into? For the always so stoic boy to finally show some emotion, she knew that it must be serious. Maybe she was a little reckless with her actions, but never would she have thought that simply helping a hurt boy would leave her in a situation as serious as this. But, she had asked for it. Why the hell did she have to be so stubborn?

Exhaling deeply, Ryeon closed her eyes for a brief moment, only to open them once more. "Okay," she simply responded, beginning to walk towards her room, "I'm just going to grab my glasses first." As she strode down the corridor, the hushed whispers from Jaemin and Donghyuck audible above her pattering footsteps, Ryeon couldn't help but wonder if maybe she had made a mistake.

THE FOUR RUSHED OUT OF THE HOUSE, rain cascading down upon them from the skies above. Yuta hurried them all towards a sleek black car, one that Ryeon had only caught glimpses of a few times. It looked like a beast, with smooth, polished sides, and a somewhat dangerous appeal to it. Ryeon turned around to look at Jaemin, but was suddenly pulled in to sit beside Donghyuck in the back. The leather seats squelched underneath both of their wet clothes, and Ryeon tried her best to ignore how uncomfortable the sounds made her, but she couldn't deny the wince that claimed her face.
