Sam or Hayes?

Chapter 14

Matthew's POV

Nash and I had been searching for an hour now.

"Nash, we have been searching for forever... I don't think he's here. Maybe he wen't with the guys." I suggested as we walked towards the edge of the peir and near the water.

"Wait look!" he said pointing towards a blob in the ocean. I walked over to where he was standing and saw a figure in the water.

"Nash could that be..." I did'nt finish my sentence before Nash jumped in the water. "Nash, wait!" I threw off my shorts and my shirt and dived in (dive in song playing now haha jk). I swam as fast as I could imaging it was Alex who was out there. The cold water was surronding me making me feezing. The moon did'nt provide ay light so I only listenend to the sound of Nash's loud splashes to find my way. I heard him stop and I looked up and barely saw 2 bodies: one floating and one swimming.

"Matt i'm over here, help me." I followed the sound of his voice and grabbed onto Hayes's other arm and started swimming. Me and Nash's swimming went in rhythm as we were nearing the peir. I grabbed ahold to the nearest wood piece and we pulled Hayes up onto the peir and Nash went straight towards Hayes. I weakly crawled towards him, while Nash was trying to do CPR while yelling "Hayes no, please, Hayes no!" He was crying by now and he was on the floor begging him to come back. I crawled over to where I threw my clothes and grabbed my phone. I quickly called 9-1-1 telling them the situation. I ended the call and walked over to where Nash was still with Hayes crying and holding him now.

"Nash, Nash it's going to be okay. Let's carry him off the peir the ambulance is coming now." I said while patting his back. He did'nt answer he just stood up and grabbed Hayes. I did the same so that both his arms were around our shoulders and we were supporting him right now.

"Hey, wait let me help." Me and Nash turned around to see a young man who looked 19. He had brown hair that looked like a mess and he had dark brown eyes.

"I'm Cameron." He said after grabbing both of Hayes's legs and wrapped them around his waist. We whispered some hi's and keep walking towards the front of the carnival.

We got to the front and Cameron gently dropped his legs and looked around for the ambulance.

"Look it's coming." he said and pointed to the ambulance. It came speeding over here and slamed the brakes right in front of us. Two men came running out layed Hayes on a gurney, then me and Nash jumped in the back while Cameron ran to the front seat with the other man. I looked down at Hayes. Two people might die tonight. Thats 2 to many.
