"I'm Dominique Farrington, a child of darkness and light."

As soon as those words left her lips, Dominique felt her consciousness slipping. All that's inside her head was nothing but the thought of revenge and the image of her mother's killers.

Something was consuming her, and she knew she won't be able to stop it.

-----

Michael wore a nervous smile as he heard her words slip from her lips.

He was unsure of what she meant by it.

He somehow felt lost. A feeling he's familiar of. He felt this when his grandmother left him and when the one who he treated as his father, Ben Harmon decided to never see him ever again.

He felt dumb.

For some reason, he can tell she wasn't lying. But, she was very conservative of her answers.

Even though it was something he warned her of not doing. His interest for this woman grew even stronger as they carry on with his interrogations.

"A child of dark and light, you say?" He said with curiosity, his hand cupping her face and brushing his thumb against her cheek. His gaze were fixed into her hazelnut eyes.

Her skin was softer than any woman's he have held with his hands. It was peculiar.

"Tell me, who are you? Dominique."

"I've already told you who I am, and that's all I know about me as much as I know that you're unsatisfied with what I've said."

Upset, he pulled his hand away and stood up. He started circling around her. His gaze still fixed on her.

"You do know I can stop the interview here and leave you with the monsters once this outpost fails," He warned sternly. He couldn't read her mind. It was as if something's stopping him to do so.

He was threatened. "What is she?"

He saw a small confident smile on her face as she looked up to him.

"Are you scared, Mr.Langdon?" She asked almost as if she was challenging him, and somehow  it felt as though that she could read his mind.

"Scared of what?" He scoffed. "Of you?"

"Why wouldn't you be?"

Her demeanor changed. The nervousness Michael felt from her as she entered inside the room was gone, it was almost as if he's talking to a different person.

Michael have felt something so familiar to him as soon as he laid his eyes on Dominique. She was a powerful presence. He knew this so well as he had been surrounded by witches and warlocks before the apocalypse. Witches and warlocks whom he had killed in order to gain in control of everything.

A part of his master plan for the new world he and his father envisioned.

This woman in front of her can either be in favor of his visions or not.

"You're intimidated, aren't you. Mr.Langdon," Dominique said with confidence and she stood up from her seat and looked at him straight in his eyes. "You never thought that you'd meet someone like me here, didn't you?"

He was right, she can indeed read his mind. Something nobody has ever done before. Not even the strongest witch have the power to read his mind.

"I can either kill you right now or spare you," He said walking up close to her. He cupped her neck and traced her jawline with his thumb. "But you're too interesting to kill right away."

He can sense it. How this woman is trying to be in control of something dark that's eating her inside.

Dominique scoffed, "So, I do pose as a threat to you."

Michael pulled his hand and laughed, before showing his demonic form to her. He wanted to threaten her by showing his powers but it to his surprise, Dominique remained unfazed.

The next thing he knew, he was sent flying across the room. Fire igniting from the fire place with a roar.

"W-who are you?"

Dominique seemed to snap out from it. She looked around her and saw most of the things inside Michael's office on the floor. She knew she had done it.

"I... I don't know," She whispered. "Who are you?"

With that, she opened the door and ran, leaving a shaken Michael inside the room.

----

"You alright?" Aigneis worriedly asked as she entered Dominique's room. She caught her running as fast as she could as soon as she left Michael's room.

"Y-yeah, I am." Dominique responded with a nod.

"What happened back there?"

"He asked me questions and then I, I don't know." Dominique answered truthfully, watching her friend as she sat beside her on her bed.

"Did it... Control you again?" Aigneis' shot her with a questioning look, but she could tell that she was worried as well.

"I think so, I just... Felt it my consciousness slip. I thought I was fully in control of it. But I... I don't know. He asked questions and made me feel so much hate. He made me feel the anger I've haven't felt for years."

Without saying a word, Aigneis pulled her to a hug.

"You should get some rest." She whispered before pulling away.

Dominique nodded and lay her back down in bed.

Aigneis assured her that she's going to be with her the whole night in case that Langdon shows up inside her room.

It was enough for her at least, to drift off to sleep.

---

Michael quietly roamed around the hallways, pondering of his encounter with Dominique.

He was attracted to the darkness residing inside her. It was something he hasn't seen before. It was intriguing, and he knew that if she would let it take over her, she'll be the most perfect candidate for the sanctuary.

He found himself in front of her room. He wasn't sure why he's there. He carefully opened the door and stepped inside her room. Her friend was there the black haired girl who seem to be attached to her. He wonder who she is to her or if she is someone like her as well.

Not wanting to be interrupted, Michael cast a spell on her. He wanted to make sure that she won't be able to wake up until it's morning.

He proceeded walking towards to Dominique's bed, where she peacefully lies asleep.

"Bring her to us." His father whispered inside his head as she stood beside her bed, watching her in her slumber.

Those words brought a smile on his lips, he knew what he needed to do. If he does everything right, he can mold the world into his own liking.

He sat on the bed ever so carefully and caressed her face gently.

"Soon, you'll rule the world with me."
