Chapter 1

It had been two years, since Mazui had showed up in the forest of Scalanore. She must be planning something. However, she was probably going to show up again. And when she did, she would be searching for Kova and Larissa.

It was a beautiful day today in Scalanore. The sun was already up in the sky, shining brightly, in the bright, blue sky.

Cloud dragons flew in the sky, circling around, and creating beautiful, white clouds. Thats what they did, most of the time. All the dragons in Scalanore, seemed to idolize cloud dragons.

Firosa, Shadur, and Chrysos, were in their cave, having fun watching Lavender and Night run around, chasing each other.

Magma walked in the cave, with an excited look on her face. She had something she wanted to show Firosa and Shadur.

Ive got something cool to show you! Magma said to Firosa, with an excited look on her face.

Chrysos was curious. She wondered what her aunt Magma had to show her parents. Could it be something cool? Was it another gift for Chrysos? Even if her birthday was yesterday, Magma couldve gotten her a late present.

Is it a gift for me? Chrysos asked Magma, with excitement.

No, its for Lavender Magma said to Chrysos, shaking her head.

Firosa wondered what it was. Would it be useful for Lavender? After all, whatever lavender touched with her talons, seemed to poison it. Maybe, this gift Magma had, would help Lavender. Firosa needed to know what it was.

I need to know what is, Firosa said to Magma, crossing her arms, and waiting for an answer.

Magma was disappointed. She wanted to show Firosa, Shadur, and Chrysos, what Lavenders gift was. If she told them all what it was, it wouldnt be much of a surprise. And that would take the fun out of it.

You always have to ruin everything Firosa, Magma said to Firosa, crossing her arms with grumpy look on her face.

Come on Firosa, lets go see what it is Shadur said to Firosa, thinking about what Lavenders gift might be.

Firosa thought about it. She didnt want to leave her den. Besides, it was a hot day today. The sun shone in the sky, making it hot for dragons who were flying in the sky outside. Even though Firosa was a fire dragon, she couldnt stand the heat. Why should she leave, just because Magma told her to? All Firosa wanted to do, was lie down on her back, and rest.

Alright, Firosa said to Magma.

Im sure your gift will be cool.

Magma was so excited. She couldnt wait to show her family, what she had made for Lavender. However, there was one thing they all had to do first. They had to wear blindfolds, so they wouldnt be able to see Magmas surprise gift. Only until Magma said they could take off the blindfolds.

You all have to wear blindfolds, so you wont spoil the surprise Magma said to Firosa, Shadur, and Chrysos.

Shadur thought Magma mustve been joking. If she wasnt, Shadur would have to wear a blindfold. And if dragons saw him, they would think he was ridiculous. Shadur also felt the same way.

Youre kidding, right Shadur said to Magma, with an are you for real? look on his face. Even if what Magma said was true, there was no way he was going to wear a blindfold.

Theres no way you can make me wear a blindfold, Shadur said to Magma with a grumpy look on his face, crossing his arms.

Its out of the question.
