Guzma x Reader

You put your starter Pokémon back into its pokeball. You just defend Guzma again. The ex-team skull leader huffed a little.

"You ain't half bad." He said with a soft chuckle. "You ain't half bad..."

You looked up at him. He looked like he was, about to cry?

"Guzma is everything okay?" You asked.

He looked at you then shook his head. "Yeah I'm chill." He said.

"You look like you are about to-" you were gonna say until he cut you off.

"Cry?" He answered you.

You just nodded. He. Basically took the words out of your mouth.

"Yeah I'm kinda sad..." Guzma stated.

"Hey, don't be upset because you lost." You said trying to cheer him up.

"That's not what's bugging me." He said with a small grunt. He kicked the sand up a little before sighing.

"I wish... I wish I was able to go and do island trials when I was younger." He admitted.

"Well who said you can't do it now?" You asked putting your hands on your hips.

Guzma rubbed the back of his neck and sighed.

"I don't think people would allow me to become one." He said. "Because of all the bad crap I used to do."

"But that was back then Guzma!" You said as you put you arm around his. "You changed! And everyone knows it! I'm sure you can start doing island trials!"

He chuckled softly. "You always think positive, don't you?" He stated.

"I just believe in second chances." You said to him. "Now, why don't we go talk to Kukui."

He looked down at your arm that was wrapped around his. He blushed a little and smiled.

"Alright let's go." He said as you both start walking together to Professor Kuki's.

'Mission accomplished' you thought as you walked with him.
