It has been Ratchet’s dream ever since he was a kid to join the Galactic Rangers. The Galactic Rangers is a regiment of brave and strong individuals who set outside the Walls during expeditions to fight Titans, but also to learn more about them and the world beyond the Walls.

In order to join the Galactic Rangers, you must be given permission by a parental guardian to enlist into the Training corps. The Training Corps is a regiment specifically for Training individuals into becoming soldiers, and also teaching them how to fight and kill Titans if they choose to join the Galactic Rangers.

Not many chooses to join the Galactic Rangers. Most people look down on the regiment and its people. The Galactic Rangers will always set out beyond the Walls riding ships and other high tech vehicles, but at the end of the day, they always return with fewer numbers than what they originally started out with.

Many believes that the only thing the Galactic Rangers are good for is stealing away taxes and lowering the populations number. But it's not too worrisome since not many chooses to join the rangers, but still.

People are always viewing the Galactic Rangers in a negative perspective. But not Ratchet. Ratchet was always admired the Galactic Rangers since he was little.

The Galactic Rangers leader was, and still is, Commander Quark. He is the one who leads everyone. Before he became Commander, the loss count of the soldier's was a lot higher. But with him now in command, the loss count has lowered some.

Ratchet would always watch Commander Quark and the rest of the soldier's March through the city before sitting themselves in their ships before flying out over the 50 meter high wall.

That was always Ratchet's favorite part other than seeing his heroes walk down the streets-- watching them fly out of this cage and out to where true freedom exist.

Ratchet had always read and heard many stories about them. And always, he's wanted to one day join to help the Galactic Rangers in their cause in destroying all Titans that walked Veldin so that one day, everyone can live freely outside the bird cage they were trapped in.

Grim always knew of Ratchet's admiration towards the Galactic Rangers, especially towards Captain Qwark. He knew of the boys dream in one day joining the Galactic Rangers, long before Ratchet even told him. But he couldn't help but to be afraid.

Afraid of letting Ratchet join and explore outside the Walls. Afraid of losing him to the Titans. But now that Ratchet is older, old enough to enlist for the Training corps to become a member of the Galactic Rangers, Grim was even more afraid than before. After all, he knows how Ratchet always tends to dream bigger than he should.

Ratchet knows that today is the day. The only day this year he can sign up and enlist himself into the Training cadet corps so he could undergo three years of intense training til the day of graduation when he can join the Galactic Rangers.

But the only problem, he needs permission from a parental guardian in order to join. But luckily, in case Grim said no like always, Ratchet snuck through some document papers Grim had his signature signed on, and he ripped one signature off for this. It never hurts to be prepared.

There was a huge line for people enlisting to join the Training cadets. But most were joining not to become a part of the Galactic Rangers regiment, but for the Garrison or Military Police.

The Garrison are guards stuck with guard duty by the gates near town, or they guard uptop the Walls.

And as for the Military Police, the Military Police are basically just that-- police. Except what makes them special is that they are assigned so they could live in the interior near the king within Wall Sina, located within the center most area in the three Walls.

The Outer Walls, which Ratchet lives inside, is called Wall Maria. The second outermost Wall is known as Wall Rose. And beyond that, the very center most Wall is named Wall Sina.

If you become a Mp, you get to live inside the center most area within the walls, and you get to live not only in the interior, but you also get the privilege of working near the king of the walls. Yep, there's a king ruling the people inside the walls on each planet.

Everyone aims to join the Military police since only the top 5 graduating training cadet members gets to join. And it's thought of as Nobel and a honor to join. Not just anyone gets to join.

But in reality, the Military Police isn't great at all, and Ratchet realizes that. Basically the Military Police is just for cowards to hide behind Wall Sina within the interior to cower from the Titans.

Ratchet didn't think very highly of them. He believes it to be better to fight than to hide. But who is he to judge? If they want to hide, let them. At least the ones who are actually brave even to join the Galactic Rangers are the ones who actually makes a difference.

But Ratchet has been waiting in line for awhile but now it was his turn. He excitedly rushes ahead to be greeted by a woman who would blammer on and on about random little things before giving Ratchet a document that needed his Parent Guardian's signature written on it.

“You don't seem to have a Guardian with you.” The woman points out. “Uh...oh yes, about that, you see….my parental guardian reeeeally didn't feel like showing up, but….he decided to write his name on this!” Ratchet shoves a little ripped piece of paper showing Grims signature written on it in the woman's face.

“I'm sorry, but that's not acceptable. You will need to bring your parent guardian here if you want to enlist.” The woman states rather flatly.

“B-But…”

The woman's plain Expression refused to disperse. If he was going to enlist, he had to have Grims permission, and by that, he would need to bring Grim along to sign the information piece which he knows certainly won't happen. Especially after what he said to Grim before darting out on him.

Well….Ratchet sure did ruin any chances in possibly convincing Grim to let him join. Rats….

Ratchet groans loudly and quite unhappily before getting out of line. He blew it. Big time.
