I beamed as I lead Harry, my new pony, to the crossties where I first found him. "I really wish Green Bridge Farms would be a boarding school." I whispered to Harry. Green Bridge Farms is where Harry lives, well, lived, and where I am right now. In the crossties. With my new pony. I took my time as I untacked Bear (new nickname!) and turned around on a pole that separates the two crossties to find a new, navy grooming caddy with 'QUINN' written in baby blue letters. I let out a tiny gasp and reached for the new supplies I found in there. All of them were baby blue. A hoofpick, curry comb, hard and soft brush, face brush, and much more. Cora came walking out of the arena with Mike, my mom, and dad, following. My dad stepped forward, patting Harry's neck. "Well," he said looking at Harry sleeping. "looks like Harry is officially a member of the Berkley family." he grinned at me. "Thank you guys so much." I smiled at all of them, but walked over to Cora. "I'd be no where without you," I took in a deep breath and walked over to my parents. "or you." I said as a joke. Everyone laughed and went to the office to sign papers. "Welcome to the family baby boy." I whispered. He perked his ears up and let a soft breath go into my hands.
"Okey, finished with grooming, baby." I quickly said to Harry. I shuffled to the back of the crossties, to see a brick wall again, but with a blanket rack. A new plaid - maroon blanket was neatly folded over the rack. "Congratulations" I read from a tag dangaling from the blanket "From: Mom, Dad, Josie, and Lauren" I grinned. Josie and Lauren are my closest friends. I treat them like family. Speaking of J and L, I haven't spoken to them in a while. Reaching into my paddock boot, I pulled out my phone and went to a group text with J, L, and me. I updated them on what was going on, say my thank you's, and sent a picture of Harry. Sending the text, I turned off my phone and carefully got the blanket off the rack. I threw it over Harry's back and got him all buckled up. "They know me," I grinned. "I really love maroon!" I said, putting emphasis on 'love.' Harry threw his head up, in agreement, and let out a low wicker. Giggiling, I did as Cora told me when I was walking out of the arena - put on Harry's shipping halter, boots, and that she would meet me out front - so I put on Harry's (new) red shipping boots, and (also new!) leather shipping halter. He looked all decked out in red. He also looked cozy and warm. The car ride is 5 hours, so I put a salt lick and jolly ball in the trailer, even though Harry already had hay, water, and a mirror, but I wanted to keep my baby entertained.
I clipped on my baby pink and purple lead to Harry's shipping hlater, and led him into the barn's massive isles. We reached the front, where Cora now had a Mountaineer truck, with a white trailer attached. My parents - who both work - are unable to drive me - so I caught them standing by the driver's seat, talking to Cora. "I'll load him up." Mike said. I handed Harry over to him, and nodded as a 'thank you.' "Mom! Dad!" I reached my parents and gave them both the biggest hugs I could. "Thank you." I said inbetween sobs. Pulling back, they smiled. "You deseve this honey. You really do." my mom said, wiping her cheek, and then mine. My dad agreed and we said our goodbyes. All of us were a total mess once I had gotten in the car. Apparently, all my suitcases were already packed. I smiled as Cora drove off, and went onto Instagram to post the selfie I took with Harry. He was looking right at the camera, and his ears were perked forward. I put in the caption, 'welcome to the fambam Harry!!🐴💗' and posted it, for my 20,193 followers to see. I'm sorta one of those big accounts on Instagram, but I'm not follower thirsty. Unlike Sera, she has 12,322 followers, and is always doing 'sfs.' I always thought, how does she not loose any followers? I shrugged and Cora said we were at the 1 hour point, until I fell asleep
