I stared at the girl who stood in front of me. I looked at her appearance She has light brown hair with soft waves at the end, and a pale face. Her eyes were cold blue, like her voice. "Well?" he snapped. "Uhm, yeah." I said softly. "Great, I'm Brianna Kurtis. This is Alyssa Flame." she motioned to a girl who had brown, straight hair, with ombre at the end. Alyssa's brown eyes looked super soft. She smiled and waved. I half - smiled back to her and looked back at Brianna, who had her arms folded across her chest. She motioned towards another girl, who had uber curly, blonde hair, and hazel eyes. "That's Klaire Ellis." the girl stood with her arms folded. She faked a smiled and went back to frowning. I nodded and smiled. "Welp, I assume you know who I am." I laughed a little, but all girls had a straight face. "Ya, whatever. Can we go now Bri?" Klaire asked, still looking at me. "Ya. Bye." Brianna said dully. She walked off, and Klaire followed. "Cute pony!" Alyssa said, before catching up with the girls.

I stood in front of my tack box, note in hand, before turning around to get the purple halter, lead, and blanket. Walking into Harry's stall, I slid on his blanket and buckled his blanket's buckles, and exchanged his red halter for his purple one. It's a perfect fit. "Be decked out it purple tonight." I smiled. Untying his lead rope and gathering my other supplies from his stall, a dark brown haired guy caught my eye. He had a navy polo on, paired with brindle breeches and tall boots. He was listening to music from his green iPhone, with one ear bud in, nodding his head. The boy reached to his left, and grabbed his bridle and a rag. He was cleaning tack. Good idea! His mare, Polly , stood in her stall copying her owner, bobbing her head. Polly's dark chestnut coat was shinning like she just got bathed. I smiled and made a mental note to clean my tack, bathe Harry, and talk to this uber cute boy! I closed Harry's top stall door, and he swung his head over the dent has in his top stall door, and perked his ears forward as he saw me put some supplies away. He let out a low whicker towards Polly, and she whinnied back, in reply. "Ooh, Doob's got a new crush?" I said playfully to Harry. He put his ears back at the sound of the nickname he hates and what I said. I put my hands up in surrender. "Sorry," I said giggling quietly to myself. "Be a good boy in the lesson tomorrow, and you get to spend the night outside!" I whispered to him. He perked his ears forward at the sound of 'outside' and went into his stall. Harry looked stunning in a royal purple, as he stood in the back of the stall, napping.

I walked up slowly to the cute boy, and pat Polly. She snorted, causing him to look up. He paused his music and smiled, flashing his white teeth. I returned the smile and he held his had out. "I'm Evan Brantton," he said. I stood there, still shaking his hand, with my mouth open. "I'm Quinn Berkley," I motioned towards Harry's stall, "And that's my pony, Harry." I said grinning. "Nice to meet you." he replied. I as speechless. He seems so chilled out. I wonder if he has a girlfriend. "Do you have-" before I could say girlfriend, I quickly rephrased my sentence. "Do you know level you are?" I asked him. He scooted over on his tack trunk, making space for me. Omigod! I haven't even met my roommate and I might have a potential BF!! It was only 1 pm, so I have plenty of time - to ask him out! Shut up Quinn! I yelled at myself.

I looked at Evan and he cleared his throat. "Well, I'm aiming for intermediate - advanced class. But whatever class you're in, I'd kill to be in it." "Holy sh-" I whispered. !!!! He's seriously the BEST. No doubt we'll be together soon. "Huh?" he asked cocking his head. "That's so sweet." I whispered, loud enough so he could hear. "Well, it's true." I paused, as Polly snorted, sticking her head between us. "Sorry," Evan laughed. "She's an attention hog." I giggled. "No worries. My monster," I tilted my head towards Harry, who had his head lazily hanging over his stall door. "Will do anything for attention." we laughed together. I stopped, realizing Cora was probably wondering where I am. Make a move! I yelled at myself. "Hey-" "Would you-" we both started to talk, but he motioned for me to finish my sentence. "Would you mind putting your number in my phone?" I asked him, sheepishly. He smiled, and nodded. "Of course!" He handed my blue iPhone back, with his number and email in it. I added a little heart emoji when he wasn't looking, and locked my phone. "I gotta run, but I'll text you when I can?" I said. Evan tilted his head a bit and beamed. "Ya!" he replied. I waved goodbye and walked out of the barn feeling more confident than I ever have. Score!
