I walked up the vanilla colored stairs in Doorwho Hall, where my dorm room is. My roommate, Riley Allen, and I emailed over the summer. We exchanged numbers, and when my furniture got to our dorm, she said she'd surprise me with how it's all laid out. I took a sharp turn to my dorm room, 287, and opened up the door.

Riley was on her bed, reading off hate comments on what I was guesssing, her Instagram. I winced at some comments. "Yikes," I said scrunching my nose. "Some people." I shook my head, and Riley shot up and grabbed me in a tight squeeze. "Quinn!" she screeched in her bubbly voice. "Eek! I'm so excited I finally got to meet you!" I laughed a bit, and looked at my dorm. My day bed was on the left side of the wall, with a window next to it. I had a little black dresser next to my bed. My closet had clothes and all my belongings. The cranberry walls went perfect with the paisley bedspread I have on my bed. I grinned. "I'll come to you when I need assistance for decorating." Riley giggled. Her blonde hair was loose, and went down to her back. She had dark brown eyes, but they had a sparkle. I looked above our desks. Above mine, photos of me, friends, family, and Harry, were hanging. Riley had pictures, of who I'm guessing, is her ex-boyfriend (they're still really cloe, guessing from the pictures). She had a picture of where she had gotten Isadora, her chestnut Connemara. Izzy's ears were forward and her uber thin, interrupted stripe sparkled. I sat down on my bed. "Okay, there's something major you need to know." Riley directed her attention to me and nodded her head. "I'm all ears!" she giggled. "You know that cuterider guy?"she nodded. "Evan?" I smiled at his name. "Ya." her eyes were wide. "What about him?" "Well, I ntroduced myself to him at the stables, and I got his number!" she shrieked and then giggled along with me. "Omigod! That calls for a celebration!" I tilted my head. "Huh?" Riley grabbed my arm and brought me to the Common Room. I saw 3 flat screen TVs and some girls were watching Pewdiepie, laughing at his fails. I laughed along with them. On another TV, it have DDA's logo. They weren't being used.

The Common Room had super soft walls, with a creamy white color. I smelled brownies and peppermint tea. Riley picked up two mugs of peppermint tea, and two brownies. "Oh. My. God." I beamed. "That smells delish!" Riley giggled, but stopped. She saw a grown woman walk into the common room for a second, and then walk out. The woman looked just like Cora. Then, the little 'trio' of girls walked in. I frowned. "Great." I muttered to Riley, who rolled her eyes and sighed. "Let's head out and go or a trail ride." Riley started for the door, and I followed. I felt the Trio's eyes follow me out. Major. Yikes.

Riley and I got back into our dorm, only to gulp down the tea and suck down the brownies. "Wow." I said, wiping my mouth. "Those are mouth watering." Riley said. She had chocolate at the corner of her mouth, and she wiped it off. "Wanna get into riding clothes and head to the trails?" Riley asked. I nodded. "Let's."

I walked out of the bathroom in a pair of purple Kerrits breeches, along with a coral colored sunshirt that has DDA's logo in the corner. My socks had horseshoes and paw prints, with purple in the background and a thick blue boarder at the top. I tucked my shirt in and put on a braided belt. Riley stood in front of me with breeches that look like jean. She paired it with a DDA polo tucked in, along with a dee ring belt. We walked out of our dorm, closing the door quietly behind us. I walked down the hall with my roommate, arms linked together, smiling.
