We Are The Champions"

I've paid my dues
Time after time.
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime.
And bad mistakes ‒
I've made a few.
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through.

(And I need just go on and on, and on, and on)

We are the champions, my friends,
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end.
We are the champions.
We are the champions.
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions of the world.

I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls.
You brought me fame and fortune, and everything that goes with it.
I thank you all.
But it's been no bed of roses,
No pleasure cruise.
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race,
And I ain't gonna lose.

(And I need just go on and on, and on, and on)

We are the champions, my friends,
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end.
We are the champions.
We are the champions.
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions of the world.

We are the champions, my friends,
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end.
We are the champions.
We are the champions.
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions.

DYK:

Written by Freddie Mercury, is one of Queen's most popular songs, and one of rock's most recognizable anthems.
The lead guitarist Brian May said, "We wanted to get the crowds waving and singing. It's very unifying and positive."
"We Are the Champions" has become an anthem for victories at sporting events.
In July 2016 the song was used to introduce Donald Trump to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Queen immediately issued a statement denouncing Trump's use of the song as not authorized by the band.

"We Will Rock You"

Buddy you're a boy make a big noise
Playin' in the street gonna be a big man some day
You got mud on yo' face
You big disgrace
Kickin' your can all over the place
Singin'

We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you

Buddy you're a young man hard man
Shoutin' in the street gonna take on the world some day
You got blood on yo' face
You big disgrace
Wavin' your banner all over the place

We will we will rock you
(Sing it!)
We will we will rock you

Buddy you're an old man poor man
Pleadin' with your eyes gonna make you some peace some day
You got mud on your face
Big disgrace
Somebody better put you back into your place

We will we will rock you
(Sing it!)
We will we will rock you

(Everybody)

We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you

(Alright)

DYK:

It was Brian May who decided to make this song simple and anthemic to get their live audiences more involved in their shows.
This track was released as a double-A-side single with "We Are the Champions". It became one of Queen's biggest songs and a constant number of arena and stadium sports everywhere.
The song was recorded in an empty church because Queen loved the acoustics.
There is a fast version of this song recorded by Queen with John Peel in 1977.
In the music video for "We Will Rock You", Brian May used a copy of his guitar because the band performed in the snow in Roger Taylor's garden, and May wanted to keep his Red Special away from outside conditions.
