It was sunny the next day, and Audrey and Emily walked to their Defense Against the Dark Arts class in 6th period. Professor Rachel Velasquez walked into the classroom. She was an average height woman who had curly reddish-brown hair and green eyes covered with brown glasses. She wore purple witch robes.

"Okay everyone, grab a partner, we're gonna be dueling today," she said.

Audrey and Emily got together as partners as everyone else found partners.

"Okay, Miss Emily and Miss Audrey will be going first," said Professor Velasquez as Audrey and Emily got in front of each other and backed up.

Emily pulled out her wand and shouted, "STUPEFY!"

Audrey went flying across the room as she felt something snap in her hand. She looked and saw that her wand had snapped in half. She nearly started crying.

Everyone came rushing towards her. Professor Velasquez got in front of her and said, "Are you okay, Miss Audrey?"

"Yeah," said Audrey. "But my wand, it's broken now."

A Hufflepuff named Steven Johnson held out his warm hand as Audrey grabbed it. Steven was a tall boy who was in the same year as Audrey and Emily, and he had bushy brown hair that was swept to the right side, brown eyes that were covered by glasses, and crooked teeth.

"I'll take her to Diagon Alley if that's okay," he said.

"That's totally fine," said Velasquez. "We'll do something else."

Steven and Audrey walked towards a fireplace in the classroom. He pulled out Floo Powder out of his robe and gave some to her. They stepped inside the fireplace and both shouted, "DIAGON ALLEY!"

The two disappeared, and were now in Diagon Alley. They passed through many witches and wizards when they finally walked into Ollivanders Wand Shop.

Audrey found the exact wand she had before she broke it, and Steven paid for it himself. They left Diagon Alley and went back to their Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Class was over and everyone was leaving.

Audrey went to her locker with Emily and they walked outside. She was holding the Ollivanders wand box to show everyone her new wand. Steven Ross came up behind her and kissed her cheek. She blushed.

"Are you still coming over tonight?" he asked.

"Yeah," said Audrey.

"Okay great, I'll see you then."

"Yep."

The two embraced each other.
