*Delilah's POV*
When Aiden read the note, his eyes got wide. When the teacher wasn't looking Aiden mouthed 'He told you?' I quicklly shook my head no and passed another not that said:
'No. That crazy redhead chick from the hallway showed me this drawing that Dylan drew of me. Then she told me all these crazy stories about Dylan. Like he's never been kissed, which can't possibly be true because of all the girls that follow him around like lovesick puppies. and he hasn't given any other girl a second thought, it all comes back to me. I don't believe any of it though.'
I watched as Aiden read my note carefully. Then, he pulled out a sheet of paper of his own. He scribbled down a couple of words in his sloppy handwriting. When he thought the teacher wasn't looking he passed me the note. But unlucky us the teacher saw. He walked up to our desk "Since you two are too busy writing love notes to each other, instead of paying attention to my lesson. Would you like to share it with the class?"
Aiden and I both mumbled, "No sir."
But the teacher wasn't stopping there. "Well perhaps you wouldn't mind if I shared it with the class?" He suggested. Then, he held out a hand expecting us to place the note inside.
I started to protest but surprisingly Aiden just handed it over. I shot Aiden a glare. He just shrugged it off like it was nothing. The teacher cleared his throat before reading, "Sweetheart, You better believe it. It's all true, ya know? That boy is head over heels for you. -Aiden. Then he added a winky face. Both of you see me after class."
My cheeks turned a bright shade of red. As the class laughed and showered us in questions.
"Delilah who is it? Aiden why did you call her sweetheart? Are you cheating on Paisley?! Delilah how could you do that? Aiden you're such a player! Delilah do you like the guy too?! etc. etc."
The teacher stood at the front of the classroom yelling over the students to quite them down. Nothing worked. So he picked up three textbooks and dropped them on the floor. That got the students attention. With that he spoke, "Now students I'm sure we are all wondering who in the world that note was about. Especially me. Oh I'm just dying to know! But right now is not a good time to pester these two about their love life that none of us knew exsisted."
Aiden just ducked his head slightly, embarrassed that this teacher has the guts to tell him that he has no love life. I on the other hand, held my head higher, for one I don't exactly have a love life. More of a crush on someone for a couple weeks, then get over it, and that's it. It's over. Most girls my age would be ashamed by this, but not me I see it as it making me a stronger person. Deep in thought, didn't realize that the bell had rung, until Aiden waved his hand back and forth over my eyes. Snapping out of my trance my head shot up, "HUh?!"
Aiden chuckled to himself, "Delilah, hun, your a mess. I don't know what I'm going to do with you though. Well, anyways.. The teacher wants to see us." Mentally I groaned, why does this have to happen to me?
Aiden and I slowly walked up to the teachers desk. together. Hopefully this won't take too long.
The teacher cleared his throat and gave us a pointed look, "you both know what I want. Go ahead, explain."
I fumbled for words. "I... We.. Uh.. Yeah.. But.. It.." Aiden saw me struggling, so he spoke up. He knew how I was with pressure.
" it's not what you think. Delilah had been through a lot this morning. One of our friends is in love with her, like heels over head, and Delilah doesn't do anything but deny the truth."
Once those words left his mouth I just stood there, in complete shock. My mouth hung open at an awkward angle. Me? Denying the truth? So it's all true? That Abby girl actually was telling the truth? Woahhh.. that's a lot for a girl to take in.
The teacher's eyes went from me to Aiden, confusion in his voice, " You mean that there is nothing, between you two? No jealousy? No nothing?"
I was about to speak but Aiden cut me off again, "Nothing.. Nada. But believe me when I say there definitely could be."
Why's Aiden being so open? Is he trying to tell me something?
The teacher's eyes lit up as he thought of a question. Little did I know, his next question would be very awkward.
"Have you two, you know, kissed?"
Aiden and I shared awkward glances. I raised my eyebrows and gave the teacher a surprised look "WHAT?! isn't that a little personal? There is something seriously wrong with you."
The teacher seemed surprised by my answer. But being the nosy teacher he is he continued to dig in our personal business. "what? Just because I like to be involved in my students lives there's something wrong with me? I don't see the problem with it. I'm just a curious man. Most people don't have a problem with it, either. Aiden here, for an example, doesn't have a problem with my openness. Now do you Aiden?"
"Actually sir, it's kinda awkward and creepy. But to answer your question no, Delilah and I haven't kissed. Now, if you don't mind we will be leaving."
I felt Aiden's strong hand grasp my arm and start pulling me towards the door.
The teacher called back to us like a girl that's trying to convince her boyfriend not to leave. "Aiden! Wait."
Aiden turned back on his heel. Anger covered his face like a mask. "What else do you want?" He growled. Why was he so mad?
"Stay for a little while longer. I have a couple more questions for you."
He glanced at me and spoke again, "Delilah you may go."
It's about time. I wouldn't of been able to handle anymore of his to close and personal questions. I acted if I was leaving, but i stood outside the door listening in. There were no sounds, I'm pretty sure a pen could've dropped and you would of heard it all around the school. I peeked trough the window and what I saw suprised me. The teacher was unconcious on the cold floor, while Aiden was awkwardly hovering above him. Why wasn't he freaking out? A few seconds later Aiden turned on his heel towards the door, a tear slowly streaming down his cheek. What was happening?
The door slammed open barely missing my face and Aiden sprinted out. His face was mixed of emotions. He was angry, sad, confused, scared even.
What just happened?
