This story began as my attempt at a "forced-marriage story." It quickly morphed into something slightly more than that.

                          
As with most of my stories, I've tried to remain consistent with what I call "book canon". If a plot point, character backstory, or other element didn't make it into one of the seven Harry Potter novels, I felt free to disregard it.
