Stella - My Family

             For the first time ever I was nervous to see my family. Nervous because Leah was coming with me. I didn't want them to over crowd her with unsolved questions. It was kind of crazy how she came up with the idea of holding a family barbecue like I had some catastrophic news to reveal. I guess it was kind of catastrophic.. it's one thing telling your parents you're pregnant but telling them it's more than 2 babies well.. that's where catastrophic turns into mind blowing. I was glad that Leah came up with the event while everyone was close to town or just close in general to the state. It was the perfect time to announce this big event that was going to prosper in my life. How I was going to be a mother in 6 1/2 months. It was all still exciting and very scary at the same time because I didn't know how my thriving career was going go turn out.

Finally we arrived and the whole driveway was already packed with family member cars and distant cuzins. To be honest I believe the only reason people showed up is because my mom probably told them Leah was showing up. What a bummer would it be if I walked in by myself and told them that something came up and she couldn't make it. I'm sure by now everyone seen the jaguar rolling by in the driveway taking pictures of the beauty that I've grown to love so much. Cutting the engine we sat inside. Suddenly her hand landed under my chin before she leaned in kissing me. I didn't know what the kisses meant. It didn't really matter they felt amazing and they calmed me down tremendously. Almost loosing myself within the kiss in the car we break away panting. "Sorry.." She apologizes.
"Don't be... I got a little carried away too" I mention. She smiles before asking me if I was ready. I guess there was no real way around it.. I was going to have to go inside one way or another. Nodding I say "Yes". Stepping out on her side she helps me out on my side.

Stepping inside the place was as packed as it could be. My whole family home was crowded with family members I probably haven't seen in years. When everyone's eyes finally fell on Leah everyone just looked at her like she was some god to behold. Long time no see family were even here in the back eating the barbecue I'm sure my parents made. I felt like I was going to be sick. "I feel like I'm going to be sick Leah" I whisper to her. "Let's get this over fast and then we can sit down okay but for now take a seat okay" She explains to me. Taking a seat she walks to the front "Excuse me everyone!". Everyone came running out of the house to see what was about to happen. "As you all know I'm Leah Jordan" She begins to explain. My father and mother came out from somewhere and when they saw me I got up and hugged then before I sat back down. "Me and Stella made this barbecue possible because Stella has some really big news to explain to her family" Leah goes on. "Are you getting married or something?" My mom ask.
"We are not even together mom.. so how could I get married?" I ask her. "Stella come up here please" Making my way up to the front with Stella I begin to explain.
"Well.. just about 2 1/2 months ago I got inseminated..." The sound of my mother's gasp fills the audience louder then the quietness that was surrounding everyone. "The process was a successful but I wanted the donor to keep in contact with me so I made the one time rule.. and of course my donor came looking for me.. the most shocking news ever was that my donor was Leah Jordan right here". Chatter breaks out as my mother hears the story unfold before her. "I can't have kids of my own so I took precaution in what I could do.. So I'm pregnant.. removing the coat I show off the little bump that was forming within me. "But.. that's not all Leah's family runs with twins..". "Holy shit you're having twins?!" My oldest uncle dean screams out. Chuckling I shake my head no. Looking at Leah I guess I was going to let her explain this part. "I'm a twin.. I have another sister who I use to fight in the womb" Getting a few laughs out of everyone she continues on.. "I didn't know the genetic trait twin was so strong.. Stella took both of my only eggs I've ever handed over and got inseminated.. funny thing about that if you fertilize two eggs you get two babies so right now Stella Struck is pregnant with 4". Another loud gasp broke out with a couple of chatter and oh my gods. My mother came running to me giving me a hug. "Oh my god.. honey four babies.. it's going to be one hell of a baby shower.." She explains. Suddenly my baby brother emerges from the crowd. Hugging him I couldn't have been more happier that he gave me this chance. "Holy shit my sister is having four little minions like us" He explains. Most grateful I was.. is that my brother possessed all of my features except for one and that he had my moms nose.. that was it he had everything else which is why he was the perfect candidate for this.. for making my dream come true.

"Hold up so Leah Jordan do you plan on being by Stella's side at all times during this process?" My dad ask. Leah chuckles "I mean... of course I would but right now I think she needs the space she is asking for" She explains to them. "Space What kind of space does a pregnant woman needs if any thing she needs something to hold onto and that's her partner in crime" My dad continues on. "Oh god.. dad please stop asking questions" I say laying my head down against the counter table. "Honey I'm trying to get to know Leah Jordan... she is going to be around forever until you die so I'm going to ask away" He says. "Leah Jordan do you love my daughter?". Suddenly my heart started beating fast.. love... we weren't even sure we even wanted to be together yet. "I do love Stella.. she's the mother of our unborn children" Leah says. My heart couldn't have sped up faster than the speed of light. "Why are you and her not together? What's stopping you?" He ask. "I'm not sure yet probably the force of what you want and the force of what you need it is all very different... before I take the next step I want to make sure that is what she is looking for too" Leah says. "See Stella doesn't know or will ever know what she wants the only thing she was sure of were those unborn children" My dad proclaims. "That is not true dad.." .
"Prove it.. let yourself be free I haven't seen you with no one in your love life.. you are so wrapped up in that book that sometimes I think your going to marry it" He says.
I sigh heavily. Was he right? I mean seriously I've always shut everyone out that I have ever loved.. I don't make myself public to the world no more because of my quick rising success.
"Let's not pressure her into doing something you want her to do Mr. Struck.. she needs to move at her own speed I will wait on her.. even if it takes me 16 years of the little ones life.." Leah explains. Did she really mean that? Or was she just saying all of this to get my dad off her back? Was Leah Jordan in love with me?
Looking at her now.. I guess I was shutting out Leah from my love life.. maybe I should start taking risk.. what could I possibly loose?

Finally heading back home I kissed my dad and mom goodbye before Leah opened the door for me. Finally we were in the car alone with the warm air blasting . "Did you mean it?" I ask.
"Mean what?" She ask.
"That you would wait on me?" I ask. She looks down then back at me "I mean it.. but I still don't know what I'm digging for here I'm kind of scared.. I think I'm falling in love with you" She says. My heart was beating so fast in my ears. "Why? I mean.. what's different about me that no other girl out there that you can easily have is different?" I ask.
"Stella you are gorgeous.. beautiful, intelligent, pregnant and glowing, you are funny, respectful and independent, What is their not to love?" She says. Blushing in a face full of red I chuckle "What's funny?".
"I don't know... maybe that you make me happy... like really happy" I explain.
"Me Leah Jordan makes you happy? Are you sure or am I hearing this correctly?" She says.
"You make me happy Leah.. really.." I say.
"Do you want to go out sometime?" She ask.
"Is Leah Jordan asking me out on a date?" I ask. Chuckling she says "Is it that obvious?".
Leah Jordan asking me out on a date? Wow.. Did I really just accept for the first time in a couple of years... Did I really accept dating Leah Jordan?
