Chapter 9 The City

After entering my room I see a mess except for my bed. I set off to work. I first did the bathroom. I put the shower curtain support up as I drilled screw at each end against the walls of the bathroom. I then put the shower curtains carefully without breaking anything. I then head out and fix my closet door. I take the doorknob and drill screws in the door. I then open the closet as I see my precious clothing. I sigh with relief as I close it and close it as gently as I could. I then look at my faucet. It looks like something my Uncle Tom can fix. I walk away as I look at the alarm clock on the table next to my bed. I couldn't fix it so I had to get a new one. I quickly throw it away without my Aunt or Uncle noticing. Soon after my room didn't look like a dump. I quickly went in the shower and showered peacefully but was still cautious of breaking anything else. I head out as I put my jeans, T-Shirt, and shoes on as I grab my skate board, my phone and my earbuds and notified my Aunt and Uncle that I was heading out to skate. They let me as long as I don't get hurt and to be back by 1:00 PM. I quickly head out and hopped on my skateboard and started skating as I started listening to One Step Closer by Linkin Park. I head into the city as I stopped at a construction yard. I started skating there since there were steep parts that were perfect for me to be on my board. I skated and skated. I couldn't stop. I had an adrenaline rush. But before you ask, no there weren't any construction workers there. It was empty. I skated on a steep part as I headed up and I landed on a wall as my board rolls away. But I saw chains behind me. So I jumped off the wall as I grabbed the chains but one of them broke lose. I panicked but I realised it was only one part that got loose. I started swinging on the chains. Then I got off and on another chain. I started swinging like Spider-Man. Now this was really weird. I'm not Spider-Man and he doesn't even exist. He's just a made-up comic book character. Until I saw a table with materials and blueprints and I manure verde myself to that small table as my feet landed knocking some materials over. I looked up amazed. I then shout "WHOOOOOO!!!!" as if I were insane. I then left the construction site and headed back home. I got back in time for lunch. This time my Aunt ordered us pizza with sausage and pepperoni one of my favorites. "Hi Danny! I ordered us pizza! Please tell me you won't be eating that much?" she asked. "No Aunt Jess I won't eat that much food," I said chuckling. We all sit down as we ate. After lunch we saved the leftovers and put them in the box as we stored it in the fridge. I then hear my cell phone ringing. I went over to the table as I saw that it was my grandpa calling me. I quickly answer and I hear him say "Danny are you alright? Did you feel anything strange or weird?" I heard him ask. "What do you mean by..." I started but I decided to take the conversation into my room. I quickly run up to my room and shut the door closed. "Ok grandpa but what do you mean?" I asked him. "Krongs told me that after a day and every once in a while there are side effects like eating large amounts of food and feeling hyperactive as if you're experiencing an adrenaline rush," my grandfather said. I then found the answer to my questions. The whole thing of me eating that much food last night. The reason why everything I grabbed and tapped was breaking. And why I had an adrenaline rush when I was skating at the construction yard. "What?" I said "why didn't you tell me? And yes I felt weird but my Aunt and Uncle didn't notice," I told him. "Oh Daniel thank God you're alright but I suggest you come over to the mansion because we have a lot to explain to you." he said. "Ok grandpa," I said "see you there," I grabbed my book bag as I looked inside and I see the suit Krongs gave me. I went downstairs and headed out the door as a voice behind me says "Where are you going?" I look behind me and I see my Uncle Tom standing there."oh Uncle Tom!" I said "I'm headed for Grandpa's mansion he said I could come over," I told my Uncle. "Ok but you need a ride. "Ok," I said. We get in my Uncle's Cadillac as we drove off to my Grandpa's mansion.
