The human body is an organism of over 30 trillion cells, and each cell of them is composed of trillions of atoms. All these cells work together in harmony through numerous mechanisms and functions to fulfill one goal, and it's to maintain a stable internal environment. In other simpler words, to keep us alive. Of course things could go wrong sometimes, but we can say that those tiny, tiny cells are doing a great job most of the time and that they should be proud of themselves. So are you, by the way.

And isn't it fascinating, the way your body works 24/7? Just think about it. Your heart, your brain, your lungs, and many more — everything they do for you... *bursts into tears* THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!

But here is the thing about beauty: it's either too simple, or too complicated. And when it comes to living organisms, things can get really complicated... at least complicated enough to have people throughout history dedicate their whole lives to understanding how they work.

The human body surely isn't an exception to this. Learning about it can be tedious and a perfect means to discover and experience new types of headache. But just as your stomach can break down a delicious slice of pizza into much smaller stuff, we can make those complicated things simple. So don't let knowledge intimidate you, but treat it with the same love you normally show towards pizza. Knowledge is power, remember?

So in this book, I will talk about the human body. I won't go into excessive detail, and I won't use big words without explaining what they mean. Also, the topics I'm going to discuss won't have a particular order like that of textbooks or online courses. The point is to learn something about everything, not to learn everything about something.

So whether you are a high school student struggling with biology, or simply someone who's always curious, this book is for you.
