Dear Diary

So... long time no see, huh? I guess I've just been real busy with my studies and all these exams coming up that I didn't have any time to write in my diary. I have spent the last couple of months, revising, going over test papers etc. I have had ZERO time to chill.

I guess all this sudden stress took a toll on my friendship with Chloe and Zoey. I don't spend as much time with them anymore. It's not that I don't want to, I've just been busy. 

But now it's the SUMMER!!! Which means I'm free for THREE MONTHS! WOOHOO!!! Have never been so excited in my life. I have no exams or assignments to worry about - three months of bliss... Hey, maybe I'll hit up Chloe and Zoey after six months of ignoring them unintentionally. I can apologise and we can go out... just like old times! Hey, maybe even Brandon might want to come out with us one day! Or just me... I mean how cute would that be??!!

As you can probably tell, future Nikki if you are reading this, you were very happy at this moment in time when you realised that you were finally FREE from STRESS!!! Then it all came down.

'NIKKI!' Mom yells, probably from her bedroom (I can't tell, my doors shut haha)

'YES?'

'PLEASE COME HERE, I NEED A FAVOUR!'

So I make my way to my Mom and Dad's room where Mom is standing in a GORGEOUS red dress and killer heels. She's got makeup on too, finished it off with a slick of Ravishing Red Revenge lipstick.

'Well?' she says, giving me a twirl, her brown curly hair bouncing up and down in the most perfect waves. 'How do I look, darling?!'

'AMAZING!! MOM!!' We laugh and I take Mom's hand and twirl her round. 'What's the occasion?' I say after we both collapse on the bed in giggles.

'Well...' her face suddenly goes stern. 'Your father and I are going out tonight - a date! i'm wearing the dress I wore on our first date in the 80s.'

eurgh. old people dating, even after marriage. EWWW!!!

'Uhm, ok, so...'

'SOO, we were hoping you could babysit Brianna for the weekend. We're going out tonight, then we plan to go with a group to stay in a luxury hotel for the weekend - a break! How fun, right? We'll pay you of course.'

My jaw drops. 'But Mommm, I've spent the last six months on assignments, its my turn to have a break. Besides, I wanted to go out with Chloe and Zoey and Brandon, we haven't done so in ages!'

'I know, sweetiee, and I'm sorry, but your father and I haven't had a break since you and Brianna were born!' she jokes. 'You have a whole three months! Wait until Monday, then make plans with them. Sorry Nikki - everything has been arranged!' she looks kinda sad but she has a smile plastered on anyway.

'ok.' i say, trying to look happy for her. 'I hope you guys enjoy your weekend away.' I smile and head to my room.  

'THANK YOU!' Mom yells. 'I'M SURE YOU'LL ENJOY SPENDING QUALITY TIME WITH BRIANNA!'

Hmmm... BAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

AUTHORS NOTE: - hey guys! sorry i've taken SOOOOOO long to update - i wrote this story out a long time ago and did not expect anybody to read it or ask me to update! i have had loads of assignments this year, like Nikki, but now I'm done and i've just started the new semester so I am free to update whenever possible! i hope you like this chapter, it was kinda short but i will try my hardest to make the next one long and interesting! i'll try and include Chloe and Zoey in it too!
