Autumn comes like a spirit in disguise.
It slinks by like a fleeting shadow.
There and gone right before your eyes.
The moonlight causes the world to shimmer with a silvery glow.
In this veil the world does not look so haunted.
Lanterns cast their amicable light over the earth like an amber cape.
Trick-or-treaters head out into the world undaunted.
Autumn changes the world as it slips into winter's slumber; slowly dawning it's alabaster drape.
