Tame Me Pharaoh!

Chapter 1
“I’m not going in there Mary. It looks so…” The little Midwestern town was completely barren on a night like tonight, snow covered the streets and the moon was out to play. The desolate black trees danced with the distant hugging of the northern winds. Wolves howled and night birds squawked as three young girls stood on the ice-covered sidewalk. All three of them stood in front of the old and broken bell tower that had in 1692 housed some of the town's own witch trials. Lilly and her three friends hadn't been around when that had happened but the rumors still circulated the town’s bedtime story circuit.
“Creepy right, just go inside and ring the bell, that’s all we're asking you to do Lilly.” Lilly’s best friend said. Sally Hanson was in every sense of the word a daredevil. She loved the immediate adrenaline rush that came with doing something risky. She also loved making timid little Lilly do those things as well. “Lilly it’s only a creaky old tower, you can do it.”
“I don’t know Sally, It looks locked.” Lilly was an innocent girl that looked like a fairy. She had a small button nose and flaming red hair that would put any wildfire to shame, and blue white eyes that rivaled the moon in its frothy glow. Lilly tended to scrunch her mouth when she was nervous and tonight her mouth was twisted as much as possible. “What if there are hobos in there, something could happen to me.”
“Stop being so scared Lil; there is no one in there, hasn’t been for years.” Lilly wasn’t sure but something felt like it was pulling her to the bell tower. Something different and more mysterious then anything she had felt in her entire life. “Go before the cops make it back over to this side of the neighborhood.” Sally gave her a little push.
“I’m going to die; I just know it.” Lilly muttered as she reached the two heavy wooden doors. She opened them slowly and stepped in. Nothing had flown into her face quite yet so she walked in further. The entire room was large, with multiple windows and millions of spider webs dangling from the rotted ceilings overhead.
The floor boards squeaked every time she took a step further in the building. The air was musty and stiff with mold and wooded flakes. The door shut heavily and Lilly yelped. She knocked into a few loose bench seats and went tumbling to the floor. The floor boards gave way underneath her calves and her lower half went completely into the black abyss that was trying to consume her whole.
“Help, somebody please help me!” Lilly screamed, but no sound came from the outside world. Only the small sounds of the mice running along the floors. She looked over her shoulder, finally able to realize that it was either make an attempt to fall gracefully or fall to her death. “C’mon Lilly you can do this.” She breathed in evenly, gathering her nerves. She let go by the skin on her teeth, and Dropped heavily to the cement floor. Landing unevenly made her ankle bend to the side and snap. “Oh my God! Ahh!” she clasped her ankle in agonizing pain.“Please don’t let it be broken.” She hobbled up to her hands and knees, and finally to her feet. She finally was able to stand when she saw something move in the corner. She tried her very best to press her small body against the cement wall.
“Hello is someone there?” with no answer she let up from where she was hiding and continued further. The placed was cold and dark with trickles of water coming from the broken pipes in the dirt floor. Finally she met with some broken glass windows, and climbed through trying her very best to not scrape her delicate skin on the broken shards, but no promises there.
Finally she reached the end of her journey and there was nothing, just a thick cement wall that blocked her path. She wasn’t exactly sure why it just ended, most cellars and basements that were in this town led to a door that took you to the surface.
