Nothing could ever prepared Tyler of what he has just witnessed. He was shocked to the core to see his childhood pal lying on the floor drowning himself in sorrow and misery.
"oh my god, Damon what have you done to yourself." Tyler muttered to himself before bending down to check on his friend, to see if he was still with him. Upon seeing his state he recalled the time when Damon was happy. He was happy until "she left. Tyler couldn't deny the fact that it was his friend's fault that drove her away and now he is paying for it.
"Grace, G-GGGrace please come back, I am so sorry for wh-wha-what I have done, please" Damon slurred while Tyler helped him getting on his own feet and then making him lay on his bed. Damon's condition was getting much worse thought Tyler,
Tyler looked at his friend who was now completely drowned himself in deep slumber for a while, he sighed and walked out of the room not before looking back at his once happy friend.
Damon gasped and woke jerked back, he saw it again the memories, the moments that he regretted. He sighed again and his brain recalled another memory.
"No," she whispered. "I don't believe you." Damon's heart twisted at the sound of her voice.
"Believe me," he was fighting back tears of his own. "I don't love you anymore." Of course he was lying, he loved her, my god he loved her. More than words could ever properly explain, but he was a hurricane and she was a tornado, and they just didn't mix like the light wind and soft drizzle like they used to be.
Damon could still recalled that moment where he told his precious love that he didn't love her anymore, only he himself knew how hard it was for him to uttered those words or even thought about saying it to her.
That look on her face still haunts him, that look of heartbreak, betrayal, and displeasure. He remembered the exact moment she broke down, begging him to just say that he was lying but he didn't budge. she cried for hours until there was no tears left. She paid the cost of dishonesty according to Damon.
Now it's him who was paying the price. The price of not believing her words but someone else's.
