We entered the nearby Fair that was next to the beach. Kids ran everywhere, trying to play every game or ride every coaster before it closed.
Changjo grabbed my hand and pulled me to a nearby game.
Changjo pointed at a pink plushie with a heart on the stomach. "I want to get you that one."
I tried to hide my burning cheeks.
I focused on his intense gaze towards the machine as he tried to capture the plushie. The boy's tongue traced his lower lip slowly.
I instantly looked away.
This really isn't helping me. I need to get over him.
He actually got it, on the first try.
"Thank you." I tried not to give him any eye contact as I grabbed the plushie.
Changjo's arm wrapped around my waist without permission.
He smiled and pulled me towards the funhouse mirrors.
"Ew, no, I look so bad in this one," I said as I quickly walked past one of the mirrors.
We were both laughing when I heard his voice. "Hana. What are you doing?"
Changjo's expression turned from happy to pissed. Before I could turn around to see Jungkook, Changjo wrapped his arm around my waist.
"Changj-"
"She's on a date, with me," Changjo interrupted me with a harsh tone.
The two idols had a stare down.
What the heck.
"Changjo, what are you sa-"
"Are you Jungkook?" Changjo interrupted me again. I started to get pissed off.
Their eye contact still did not break.
"The one-and-only. Who are you again?"
I knew right then and there that Jungkook only said that to piss Changjo off. Jungkook knows him.
I could feel Changjo's grip on my waist get tighter.
"Changjo, from TeenTop."
The heat from Changjo radiated intensely off his body. A dark aura enveloped all three of us.
They both stood there in silence, staring at the other.
I couldn't take it anymore.
"Jungkook," I managed to speak, which broke the killer silence.
He snapped out of his glare to look at me. Jungkook's poker face worried me. Where is the happy Jungkook?
"What?"
I managed to get out of Changjo's grip before I inched closer to the boy.
"Why are you here?" I spoke quietly.
"I wanted to come. I didn't know I'd see you here though, especially with someone other than your brother." Jungkook wore the smile that I knew oh so well.
The smile he'd use just to hide his true feelings. He used it on his fans all the time.
I honestly felt bad.
I knew he was upset and I couldn't do anything about it. I eventually broke eye contact with him when he looked somewhere else. My heart ached as I walked back to Changjo.
"Well, let's go, Hana," Changjo held my hand,"Bye, Jungkook."
Jungkook peeled his eyes away from our gaze. He looked at Changjo and put on his fake smile again. "Goodbye."
