I sat on the porch outside of the hotel room, staring blankly at the sunrise. The water crashed onto the shore quietly in the background as the sound of seagulls communicated with one another on a nearby rock. My heart is still racing. I can't get what happened last night out of my head.
Jungkook kissed me... He told me he still loves me...
We got interrupted by Jimin shortly after, though. He looked angry, but somewhat relieved? I'm not sure. I was too caught up in what had happened to fully function properly. My mind was racing, and it hasn't stopped.
"What's going on?" Jimin asked right away.
Jungkook backed away from me while bowing his head. "We... we were just.."
"Never mind. I don't want to know," Jimin didn't let the maknae finish,"Hana, are you okay?"
I nodded. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Don't worry about me."
He sighed while nodding. "Well, I'll let you two go back to what you were doing."
Before he left, he replied,"Oh, Hana. I'm not getting the last day with you. I asked and was able to be with you tomorrow. So get ready early tomorrow. We're gonna see a show in the morning."
Jimin left shortly after.
My cheeks burned in embarrassment while thinking back to last night. Jimin probably saw it and told the rest.
"Hana," I hear him as the sliding door opened.
My cheeks got hotter as I turned to face him. "Hi, Jungkook."
Him and I never really said much after the kiss last night. Our shyness precluded us from making conversation afterwords. I was surprised he came to me this early to speak to me.
"Listen," the younger one stepped out onto the porch and sat beside me before continuing,"About last night, I don't want it to affect us. My decision made it awkward between us. It was a kiss that probably should've waited, but, I couldn't handle myself. I held that urge in for too long, and I was afraid that would be my last chance."
The emotion in his expression warmed my heart. "Jungkook, that wouldn't have been your last chance, trust me. I've wanted us back for so long."
His tired eyes turned into crescents as he smiled. "Do you think we can be a thing again?"
"I hope so," I said as I held onto his hand.
His warm hand intertwined with mine. I glanced at him; his smile brightened the atmosphere in just a second.
"Hana," Jungkook spoke shortly after.
"Yeah?"
His eyes looked down at our hands before speaking.
"I'm really sorry about everything. I know I said sorry a million times, but I need to say this. Just one more time. I apologize for leaving you like that. I should've thought of a better way to handle the situation. I was just trying my best to not hurt you any more, but I guess that didn't work out well. I should've just told my fans to respect you, and that you were my girlfriend. But I didn't; I was putting my fans first. I love them so much, but I love you more. I want to make everything better."
