Shopping

Chapter Eight

I told you already right that I never dated and this was my first time. I didn't know what to wear for my dinner that I was going to have with William so I made it much easier by calling my friend that had many ex-boyfriends. Her name was Helen. A perfect name for her because she was beautiful and she was always glowing as if she's like a goddess. I would always be ashamed when I was around her. She had so many exes and I have ZERO.

That was so totally embarrassing but when I called her she was extremely happy for me. She said "Finally girl! You found him and I was worrying about you being alone when you're old." I laughed at her joke but it was a stab at my heart hearing that from your best friend.

I moved those feelings to the other side.

Helen picked me up at 9.00 in the morning, ready to go shopping for my outfit for tomorrow night. While we were on the way to the shopping mall Helen asked me thousands of questions. Like

"How he's like? Is he handsome? Is he romantic? Is he married? Is he a windowed? Did you kissed him before? Does he have biceps? Does he look hot or sexy in a way? Is he a playboy? Has he even had sex before? Is he even a he?"

It was those kinds of questions. I said to her "I cannot answer right now because I hardly know him. I just met him in the shop the other day."

She was stunned by my answer and said "Wow, dating a stranger. How romantic. It's so sexy just by thinking that way. I wonder if you get to have sex with him after your first date because if you did. I sure want to join you." I laughed and said "Don't be a bitch." She laughed at me and said "I wouldn't do that do you. You finally met the one you're waiting and here he appears sweeping you away, how romantic."

I sighed and said to her "I can't believe I'm dating."

Helen replied "Believe it or not girl. It's real and is he a he?" That was the part I blushed. Helen noticed my reaction and said "What happened girl?" I said to her "When I fell from the ladder the other day, he caught me from falling and I was in his arms. I could feel his breathe touching my face. He was so real and yes he has biceps." The next came out of Helen's mouth was "Yeah Girl! Do that over and over again. You'll get horny sooner or later and the next thing you know you two are shaking the bed!" I laughed out loud at my friend's words. Is this the Helen I know when I was in college? She was so different now. She's like always horny. That was for sure and she's married but she doesn't have a child yet. When I was thinking about that Helen broke the silence and said

"Jane, I'm pregnant."

I turned to her and cupped my mouth and opened it again and said "No... You're joking."

"No, this is the real thing. I finally got pregnant and I'm married when I got pregnant." She said that with a smile like it was a sign of relief that she didn't have to get scared that she wasn't going to have children. I hugged her tightly in my arms and said "No wonder you're so horny." We laughed at my joke but she totally agreed about the horny part.

She turned the car around and parked her car near to the entrance to the mall. A car patrol officer went to our way and said "Ladies, you can't park your car here. It's restricted." Helen turned to me and winked at me and said to Mr. Officer "Officer, we wouldn't be long..."

The officer said "You said that but I'm not buying it." Helen ran across her finger at the officer's chest and I could see that the officer was turned on. Helen put a paper in the officer's chest pocket and whispered to his ears "Call me." Then Helen pulled my hand and we were heading to the entrance. The officer was blushing and I told Helen "Is it alright you did that? I mean isn't it like cheating on your husband?"

Helen stopped and looked at me "Girl, my husband is German. He would want me to have a boyfriend and that doesn't mean I'm cheating on him." I was confused now, married and still need a boyfriend? I asked her another question "A boyfriend?" She nodded and said "It's their culture. If the woman doesn't have another man, that'll lose their pride." That is one weird culture I thought.

Helen didn't felt comfortable talking about her and her husband and the boyfriend thingy. She changed the topic by saying "Come on, let's go to that shop. It looks like they have something there for you." I nodded and we raced to the shop. We bought a dress that was the actual replica of Marilyn Monroe's outfit. It was the one she stands at a manhole and her dress flew up. It was pretty. The only word I can describe, pretty.

Helen said to me "hot! Maybe you can even seduce William by standing on a manhole and the steam would make your dress fly. Now that's sexy." We went to the counter and paid my dress. Helen quarreled with me just because of that. She said she wanted to pay for me and I refuse. Then she scolded me and said it was for my first date so its better she bought it. I didn't have any reasons left to say. She was happy I lose the fight and she paid for the dress that cost 250.00 USD. I was mad at her for buying it saying that she wasted her money only for me. She said "You know, we're best friends, when I buy this for you maybe in the future you'll help me if I needed something." That probably made sense. Helen then shouted "Next stop, to PRADA!" I laughed and tagged along.

We bought these incredible amazing shoes. It was like heaven, a word came in my mind that said "FABULOUS" yeah mamma; I love those damn shoes. Helen even bought me a purse that is so called "GUCCI" Its black and it fits with the dress and the shoes. I bought a pearl necklace and a diamond ring for my right middle finger. It was a celebration ring that I bought from Tiffany's, the best ring diamond shop in Lusana for my opinion I mean.

After that fabulous shopping, Helen and I went to eat lunch in a restaurant that I didn't know what it was named because I didn't care. Helen was so in a good mood. She paid for the lunch again and it wasn't cheap. It was a celebration that I finally found the man I want and she said don't let go of him because she knew if I met the man, that was the man. Lunch was totally delicious. Helen sent me back home at 3.00 in the afternoon. When I reached my apartment door, Helen shouted "Go slow on the guy! And don't forget to use protection!" I laughed and waved at her saying goodbye. She was hilarious but the protection part is true though.

The first thing I did when I entered the apartment, I took out my shoes and throw them aside and went to my bedroom to see the things Helen bought for me as a gift. The dress was more astonishing when I put in on. If I put a touch of makeup it would be perfect.

I can't wait for my date. My first date, I hope it would turn out well. No, I can't hope, it must turn out well. It must...
