"Hey €☈☈⊙☈?" He asks

"Hmm?" I hum in response.

"You've been wearing that mask for a while and you've been meeting late. Are you okay?" He asks, looking up at me with those puppy eyes that make me feel weak in the knees.

I smile slightly at him, the emotion covered by the mask, but I suppose he saw my eyes scrunch slightly, since he smiled back. "Im fine, I suppose." I chuckle lightly.

"But you were sleeping in class." He says, his smile being replaced by a concerned look.

"I-im fine." I say again, quieter.

"And your eyes were red when you returned from the teacher's office..." He says, still with that concerned look.

I look into the ground. "Im fine." I mutter under my breath, as I feel my eyes prickling. I barely see his head tilt into the ground as well, his hands clenching into fist's.

"Stop lying to me. Just because you wear hoodies and layers, it doesn't mean i wouldn't notice." He says.

I tilt my head up again, looking at him as he's still staring into the ground. "What do y-"

"I saw the bruises, when you woke up." He cut me off. "Please don't lie to me." He says in a pleading tone.

He's still looking into the ground.

"Look at me." I practically demand. As he looks up at me, I see his red eyes and the tears falling down his face.

"Don't waste your tears or feelings on me, my pain or my mentality." I say as I feel a tear roll down my face, soaking the mask.

"Y-your mentality?" He stutters out.

"I hate myself. I hate people, well except for you. But you really are something for yourself, aren't you?" I smile again as I notice the faint blush on his face.

"You can't do both." He then says, looking back into the ground and awkwardly fidgeting with his fingers.

"What?"

"You can't like me and hate yourself."
