"Are you two kidding me?!" dad shouts as we walk out of the hospital in casts. "A broken arm and leg!"

"What do you think Whisper will think of you two?! Oh my knight in shining armor! He won! No! She's gonna think you two are insane for competing!" mom snaps.

"Agreed. That wasn't cool and how you guys are now. Broken bones" Katia says.

Dallas shakes his head. "All Thorn" he says, walking to the car with his crutches.

I roll my eyes. "You agreed to race you fuck face"

"Okay stop you two" Ethan and Alice say at the same time.

"Let's just go home" Nick says.

I limp my way to dads car and he gets in. "Are you gonna tell Whisper?" he asks.

"I'll just say Dallas and I got attacked by bears" I shrug.

"You can't keep something this big from her, Buddy. You have to tell the truth" he says.

I look down.

We arrive home ten minutes later.

I limp into my room and huff.

What do I tell her?

Oh hey, Dallas and I crashed into each other because we're both completely in love with you.

I'm not gonna tell her.

And neither will Dallas.

My phone ringing snaps me out of my thoughts and I turn to see Hurricane calling...

I gulp and pick up the phone. "Hey!!!" she says right away. "Where have you been?! I've been worried sick!!"

"Sorry, had a lot going on" I lie.

"Can I come over?" she asks.

"Not right now babe... I'm sorry, I have to... go to the store" I make an excuse.

I hear her sigh over the phone. "Okay... I just miss you"

I slightly smile. "I miss you too."

"You dont hate me do you?" she asks.

My eyes widen. "What?! No! Why would you think that?!"

She gets silent. "You just seemed mad at me for talking to Dallas. You were so short talking when I had to go... I just wanna make sure you're not mad"

"I'm not mad at you Hurricane. I can get... what's the word... jealous?" I shake my head.

"Well no need to worry about anything. I love YOU. And I'm yours" I can practically hear her smile.

I smile. "I love you too"

"Well I better let you go to the store! Bye love!" she chirps.

"Bye" I say softly before we hang up.
