"Scoot," Star ordered as she wiggled her butt in between Carson and Eric on the couch in America's room, her words a tad muffled since she had a mouth full of popcorn.
"Thank God for you, babe," Carson stuck his hand in the huge plastic popcorn bowl Star held in her hand.
"I didn't think popcorn was going to be enough so I also brought you this coffee and this leftover slice of pizza," Star carefully handed the stuff to him.
"You're a literal angel, Star," Carson smiled at the pizza.
"Mom friend!" America fake coughed.
"Without me, you'd probably be dead or in jail somewhere," Star smiled at her blonde best friend.
America nodded. "That's true."
Star's friend group was huge. Enter her best friend since birth, America, and her cousin Eric. Then there was Eric's best friend Carson, and his neighbour Briana, and her best friend Mandy. Each of them has different stories explaining how they met, they just never thought they'd up been friends. Or sharing a couch in America's room watching the same tv show.
Star was like the mom friend, but only to this group. With everyone else, she treated them all the same. Star only took care of those she liked.
"This is the first show we're binging together," Briana pulled some popcorn from the bowl in Star's lap.
"Oh yeah huh," Eric said, not paying attention to Briana's arms reach in front of him. He'd already gotten used to all of the girls and their personalities, especially Briana's outgoing one.
"I can't believe I'm going to have to stare at your ugly face every episode," Mandy remarked as she was helping America turn on the tv. "Can everyone see it if we tilt it like this?"
Everyone nodded. "I'll get the blankets if someone takes popcorn refill duty," America stood up from the carpet covered ground.
"I got that," Carson smiled, mouth full of pizza.
"What else do you need, 'Murica?" Star asked.
America thought. "I guess that's it!" she turned to grab some blankets from her closet.
"Awesome," Star sat back with a smile on her face.
Mandy and Briana were giggling over some Instagram videos. Carson was busy eating. "How are you doing, Star?" Eric asked.
"I'm fine, why?" Star furrowed her brows.
"It's just, you didn't say one word the whole car ride and I just wanted to check on you before, you know, all the attention's on me," Eric said.
Star rolled her eyes. "I appreciate the concern or whatever, but I'm fine, really."
Eric raised his hands in mock surrender. "Okay, like I said, just checking."
"Take your pick, whores," America held up two different blankets, interrupting everyone's conversations.
"I want the Spider-Man one!" Eric said before it got quiet and everyone turned to Star. Mandy slapped his arm. "What? It's comfy!"
