It Just Dont Feel Right (One Direction/The Wanted)

Ch. 3- The Concert

Dani’s POV

It’s been three weeks since Niall and I’s first date. We are now officially dating, except the paps and fans don’t know yet. Niall wants to keep me away from the hate... He’s so sweet. Harry and I have become really close these past few weeks. Liam is also pretty close to me. I consider them my brothers. I’ve been to every one of their practices, and I’ve been spending lots of time with them. They want me to move in with them, but I don’t know yet. They have a concert tonight, so Kelli, Rachel and I are going to watch. I’ll be backstage while they are in the crowd.

I’m wearing a blue shirt that says “You Can Call Me Mrs. Horan” and jeans. I’m wearing black Uggs and a rubber bracelet that says “I <3 Niall”. I need to look like a fan. I have sunglasses on just in case someone finds out Niall and I’s secret. Quickly brushing my straight hair I grab my clutch and walk out to my car.

Once at the concert I quickly walk inside. The first person to spot me is Harry, and he starts to laugh at my shirt. Yes, I know it’s a little weird to wear when I’m dating Niall, but I want to blend in with the fans. I put my finger to my lips to tell Harry to be quiet and then put my hands over Niall’s eyes. “Guess who?” I ask. “Dani!” Niall yells and I put my hands back down to my sides. He turns around and hugs me tight. “Nice shirt!” I hear Louis say laughing. Niall reads my shirt and laughs. “I need to blend in with the crowd, so I wore a shirt a fan would wear.” I explain. “And you just love me!” Niall says cheekily. “Yeah, that too” I say laughing at him.

I hear someone cry out in pain. I turn around to see one of the dancers (Her names is Carrie, I believe) on the ground holding her ankle. The choreographer rushes to her side and is talking with her. “We need another dancer ASAP that knows all the dances.” He announces. “Dani, you know the dances!” Harry whispers in my ear. “So?” I say. “Fill in for her” He replies. “I can’t” I simply state. “ Please, we need another dancer or we can’t do the concert” I begs. “Ugh, fine!” I reply not too happily. “Thanks!” He says, then runs over to the choreographer to tell him the news.

I’m rushed into hair and makeup and then was thrown an outfit to put on. It’s a red polo and khaki shorts. My shoes are high tops. Am I supposed to look like Ni? I walk out of the changing room to see the other girls dressed as One Direction as well. Olivia has on a blue and white striped over-the-shoulder shirt with red shorts. She’s wearing toms for shoes. I think she’s Louis. Allison is wearing a blazer with a plain shirt underneath it with jean shorts. She’s wearing converse. She’s Harry. Lindsay is wearing a letterman jacket with jeans shorts. Under the jacket is just a plain T-shirt. She’s wearing high tops like me. She’s Zayn. Jessica is wearing a plaid shirt and jeans shirts. She’s wearing those work boots Liam always wears. And finally she’s Liam. Apparently, later we will be changing. The song list is: WMYB, One Thing, Up All Night, I Want, Another World, Tell Me A Lie, Everything About You, Save You Tonight, Stole My Heart, Gotta Be You, I Wish, Taken, Same Mistakes, and finally More Than This. After Stole My Heart there is a short break and we have to change.

WMYB starts and the dancers walk onto the stage. Then, the boys come out and start singing. They perform well live! I do the routine even though I’m completely nervous. The song ends and One Thing starts. Time passes quickly and its time to change. My makeup and hair are touched up and then I’m sent to change. I’m now wearing a black leotard with a blue tutu and black ballet shoes. Each girl has a different colored tutu. Allison has an orange one, Jessica has a purple one, Lindsay has a green one, and Olivia has a red one. Gotta Be You starts and the performance continues. The last few seconds we have to dance with the boys. Of course, I’m dancing with Ni. As Liam sings the last word I see Niall leaning in. Is he going to kiss me on the stage in front of all these people? My question was answered as his lips touched mine. I could hear the whole crowd start screaming. He pulled away and then simply said, “Hey guys, this is my girlfriend Dani”.
