The door was probably broken by now. I was sure of it.
For the past few minutes someone had been pounding furiously on my door. Honestly, if I had the energy to deal with the person punching the shit out of my door, I would have gotten up by now, but I didn't. I couldn't get my sorry-ass up from the comfortable silk sheets because I knew the moment I opened that door, the normality I had built for myself would cease to exist.
I knew who was at the other side of the door. I could call it intuition, but I would be lying. His scent was a dead give away. Being a werewolf had its advantages, I could smell and even hear from long distances.
The aggressor on the other side suddenly stopped his assault against my door. Answering the door would probably be a good idea, I thought as I groggily got up from bed and sat up straight. I slipped my slippers on and was making my way to the door when the pounding suddenly started up again. Seriously, could he be any louder? I rolled my eyes as I opened the door.
I was used to being greeted with unhappy faces. In this case it was a very unhappy one. I pulled the door wide open, bringing my whole body into view. I ran a hand through my dark brown hair in frustration as a pair of angry blue eyes met mine.
"Could you at least put some decent clothes on?" Alec gritted out. I glared at him as he scanned my attire. I had just gotten out of bed so all I had on were a pair of short-shorts and a tank top. It was the middle of summer in Phoenix, Arizona and it was blazing hot. Could he really blame me?
"Hello, dear brother, it's also nice to see you too," I said sarcastically while crossing my arms.
Alec did not look amused, on the contrary, he looked like he was about to go on a murder spree. Which was funny because the man didn't look like the type to hurt a fly. He was what girls called a "pretty boy". He had short dark raven hair, ocean blue eyes, with beautiful eyelashes that I was jealous of, a stubble that was clean cut. The guy looked like one of those businessmen that were at the cover of a magazine with their lives all sort it out.
"Don't give me that shit, Michelle, do you know the trouble I had to go through to find you?" Alec said with anger seeping through every word. I had a feeling his rage was here to stay until he got what he wanted.
"I'm guessing the Rickon ratted me out," I sighed.
I could not count on anyone these days. I had asked the Alpha of Arizona to let me stay in his territory for a few months to get away from my pack, it only been one and he had already given out my location. Stupid Rickon. I can't believe I trusted him.
"I am the Alpha of Alaska, Michelle, of course he would tell me where my little sister had run off too, unless he wants to sever treaties." He said as a matter of fact.
I didn't like his attitude. Ever since he had been appointed as Alpha he had let the power go over his head. He was egoistic and arrogant, a typical Alpha to be honest. When we were younger I remember him crying because he had scraped his knee after I had tripped him over. As you can see, I wasn't the nicest sister on the planet, on contrary, I was the opposite of nice. I was a big bad mean ol' wolf, no pun intended.
"Pack up your shit, your party days are over. We are leaving."Alec pushed himself inside the apartment. He stood tall while inspecting my small apartment with distaste.
"Who says I've been partying?" For all he knows I been living a respectful young adult life as a presentable lady.
Alec moves closer to my couch and picks up a empty bottle of Jack Daniels, "oh I forget you like to think your Mother Theresa." He opens the bottle takes a swing of good ol' jack. " then again if i had to deal with myself everyday I'd also want to drown myself in liquor."
"Can there ever be a day that you are not a dick," I say gathering my dark brown hair into a ponytail.
Alec growls, his wolf displeased with my lack of respect. He stares me down and I hold his gaze for as long as I can. Then cast my eyes away. Damn it. Why couldn't I be dominant. Why did I always have submit, it irritated me so much. I think that is probably why I had a smart mouth on me. I had to find some way to express my frustration, right?
"Whatever, I can't leave. I have already signed a one year lease, Plus I'm working as a waitress at Tio's Bar and Grill," I say crossing my arms. I was a good damn waitress too at that. I always got the most tips out of all the girls. Charlie said it was only because I had big boobs, but I say she was just jealous she didn't have good customer service skills.
"I don't think your thick skull gets what I am saying, so I'll articulate every word for you. I. am. not. asking. I. am. telling. you." He flicks my forhead.
I growl at him and bare my teeth.
"Why can't you be a normal werewolf and obey my every command," He sighs .
"Because then I'd be like your bimbo girls you like so much," I stick out my tongue. He glares at me and pushes my head down with one of his hands.
"I'll be at the car." Is all he says before leaving through my front door.
"But what about the lease and my job!" I demand.
"Let the asshole Alpha that let you stay in his territory deal with it," With that I was forced to return to Alaska.
